FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

So hubby just went to bootcamp and the not knowing is so bad i dont have a address for him i dont know how he is i do not know when he will be finishes ugh this is all hard !!!! I know i will get a box then a letter but when i was hoping for today but the mail came with nothing in it for me . I do want to know the box that comes will it go in my mail box or be delivered to my door?? So anything you guys can help me with would be nice i did find that tv he can keep his wedding ring so that is nice.

The box will be delivered by FedEx it will be all his clothes and shoes he was wearing cell phone or anything else he had with him that he is unable to keep

I know it's hard start writing him now and number each so he knows the order to read.  This way you will have letters ready when you get the address!!!  It will be in the form letter which you should get 7-10 after the box.  Now if you tell me the date he arrived at BC I can give you a idea when his PIR will be

Oh ok cool i have been writing him every day a couple of times a day he got there June 10th

  • Ok you should get his box any day now.   They say to count 9 Fridays from when the get there for their graduation which would be August 7. But do not make any travel plans until you get the official date that comes in the form letter!!!

Lol ok that is better than what i thought i was thinking like the 13th bc they have a holaday in there

Holiday doesn't matter it's just a normal day in Bootcamp

Hi Ceci I understand how you feel my son arrived at boot camp on 6/11 so Im in the waiting stage as well. We are going through our own emotional boot camp lol. Just remember it will all be worth it in the long run. Take care

Ty momofmany.yes ma'am this is hard but it is nice to talk to someone whos son may be in the same group as my hubby. But i just dont know how all these other lades have made it lol it is hard to go to sleep then it is hard to make my self get up and leave my dreams of him. I am just sick with not knowing anything .i would like to add you if that is ok

You sure can send pictures just print them on paper.  I printed pic on paper that I then wrote my letters on.
