For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hello!
Just joined and am sooo very happy to have found this site! My Son is heading to Columbus today, for transport to GL tomorrow....so excited for him! He has wanted to be a sailor since he was 2 and now, 17 years in the making, we are there. He has taught himself 7 different languages, so CTI is his career path. I've joined the CTI group, but wanted to say a general "HELLO" to everyone here! I'm sure I will be on here DAILY, as I am very new to all of this, so please forgive my constant questions in advance! Look forward to meeting you all! Have a FANTASTIC day!

Welcome to the waiting.
I have only gotten the scripted call after they just arrive, it came through around 10 pm. His flight out was at 4pm.
My son is on the CTI path as well. Didn't realize there was a CTI group.
They are one week apart, he will probably meet up with my son.
That's great.
First couple days were hard for me.
Just had to keep busy and start writing letters. They are stacked up waiting for an address to send them to.
