Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

PIR 10/23/15
Just 14 more days and my daughter will be graduating from boot camp. I remember when i couldn't hold in a tear and now i'm so nervous just thinking about driving 12 1/2 hrs to her in the PIR.Time flew by pretty quickly. Does anyone have kids graduating on the same day? Will you be attending the meet and greet event? How do you sign up for the meet and greet? What's the final test like?

Hey there, i just got on to ask questions about PIR for 10/23/15 and saw your post! So excited too , i'm still shedding tears. I saw there is a restaurant/bar that has a dinner for families of the recruits on Thursday night in Waukegan, Our hotel is in Lincolnshire. I don't remember the name of the restaurant right now i will have to go back in my history and find it. They only ask for a donation froml the families. Thats about all i really know, i get on here only once in awhile , the site kind of sucks me in and i lose track of time so i don't get on often. Safe travels to GL!

I know what you mean JenG. The meet and greet is also on Thurs (5-9:30p) and they accept donations as well. You do have to RSVP though. Hope i can make it after driving 13 hours. ;)

I have a daughter graduating the same day...can't wait. I don't think we will be at the meet and greet. Time went by really fast.
