Hey everyone! My fiancé shipped off to basic on the 5th as well! I am hoping that the February date that you all have seen is accurate as he wasn't expecting to graduate until the 2nd week in March.
My son also goes on Jan 12th (4 days!). Thank you lemonelephant for the info you posted regarding PRI. Although we will not be able to afford to attend it will still be nice to know the date.
You can watch it live! I am sorry you wont be able to attend the ceremony itself
Cindy, you are very welcome.
The RTC will stream PIR live at http://www.livestream.com/usnavyrtc and http://navylive.dodlive.mil/ beginning at 8:45 am CST on the day of PIR for those who are unable to attend in person.

I'm new to the group too. My son's ship date was 1-5-2016 also. I think I heard that an estimated graduation date may be in the letter they send to us in approximately 1 1/2 weeks, but I'm not sure. We just received our son's box of belongings. He was told that they let them keep a change of clothes, jacket and shoes for future use. His cell phone case was in the box (perhaps they checked inside it), but the cell phone wasn't and neither were the clothes. He wouldn't have donated his phone or clothes, especially the expensive tennis shoes. Have you received your daughter's box yet or heard about this?
The Form Letter will contain his PIR date and address along with other important information.
No, they do not let them keep clothes nor do they let them keep cell phones. Often when a recruit donates the clothes, he will send the cell phone in a padded envelope. You say you received his "box of belongings", so look through everything because his cell phone should be there. He will obtain all of the clothes that he needs while at the RTC.
Arrival and What Happens at the RTC within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will let you know what is happening and what to expect.

My recruits clothes, shoes, cell phone and charger were in his box.
No we have not gotten the box yet ! But we are in Fla so it has a long way to go lol i am hoping tomorrow.
I hope so too Kimz!
YAY!
