While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Since your then Sailor is headed to San Antonio and will fly out, you will have from about 10:30 am when Liberty is called until sometime that evening, usually sometime between 7 and 9 pm. Your Sailor will know when he must be back for muster and you should drop him off about 30 minutes before so he has plenty of time to be back to his ship because "on time is late in the Navy!"
You will then be able to meet him at the airport and spend time with him there before he flies out. Send an index card to him a week or so before PIR to fill out with his flight details so you will know when and where to meet him to have the most time with him and give him his cell phone and a few other things.

Thank you for the info! So odds are he will fly out some time Saturday? I found a flight home Saturday morning. Do you think he won't be flying out until later Saturday vs. early morning?

Yes, he will most likely fly out on Saturday. Sailors fly out at all hours on Saturday from very early in the morning to early evening. It all depends on flight availability.

You need to make your arrangements now. It would be best to leave late Saturday or on Sunday. He will not receive his flight details until the week of PIR.

Also, if we decide to catch the AM flight home that Saturday and do not see our Sailor off at the airport, can we still give him his cell phone etc. to bring to A school?

You would have to meet him at the airport in order to give those things to him. He cannot take his cell phone or many other things back to the RTC. You may be able to see him after he arrives at the airport and still have time to make your flight.
