 Heads at Ease,

I wanted to send out a quick thank you for the pillowcases.  Your support, thoughts, and prayers are appreciated. I put them out for the others in my unit and they also send their thank you. Please let everyone involved in sewing and making the cards, know I have received the boxes and appreciate their support.  The Army themed and Star Wars themed pillowcases were a hit.

Thank you for your support, SPC Brandon P

His mom made these and I sent the Army themed ones made by Sarah P in ILUnited States Army

and I sent these:

some photos for the K9 units, 6 units total.  These were all made by 1 woman.  She is awesome!

Dear Heads at Ease Volunteers;

Hello! My name is Lieutenant Julio and I would like to thank you all for the wonderful pillow cases my Sailors and I received a few days ago.  I am the assistant maintenance officer with Strike Fighter Squadron FOURTEEN aboard the USS John C. Stennis.  We are a squadron of 12 FA-18E Super Hornet aircraft and over 200 Officers and Sailors who, thanks to the efforts of  volunteers like you, now can rest at ease knowing we have your love and support behind us.

Thank you for supporting us and making us feel loved and appreciated this far away from our own homes.  Thank you for your care and for your prayers.  In particular, many thanks to Carolyn S,  who made my own pillow case.

Very respectfully, LT Julio   VFA-14

> Hello,
> I just received a pillow case from Sandy B. I would just like to thank you for the pillow case and all that you do. Thanks for taking the time to make these for us. I am currently on the USS John C. Stennis in VFA-14 from Lemoore California. It will be nice to have something home made on my rack.

> Again, Thank You!   Very Respectfully,  AOC(AW/SW) Joe    VFA-14 Ordnance

Sarah,

I would like to say thank you for the pillowcase you made. I received it today
and love it!

Very Respectfully,   Kathryn

a follow up from Kathryn:

Ma'am,

I didn't expect an email back so it was a nice surprise to find one from you
today!
I think I would like to hear the story about moldy muffins and plan B. I like
comedies so if you have the time, my ears are open.
A pillowcase doesn't seem like a very wanted item, but you don't know what you
have it until it's gone. A few of the Pillowcases Sarah made were sent here
and all of us in the K9 Unit jumped at them. The Pillowcase I have is tan with
pictures of dogs and commands (Sit, Stay, etc.) on a red sleeve. It will be
coming home with me when I leave here.
I have been active duty Air Force for almost eight years. This is my first
deployment with a dog. It is the best job I have ever had. I have a few years
left in this enlistment and I plan on getting out and settling somewhere, I
haven't decided on anywhere specific yet. I'm originally from MI, but I don't
want to go back there. I recently got married and my husband is also Air Force
and a K9 Handler. Currently I am stationed in NM, but will be PCSing or
changing stations when I get back. I love NM and if it were up to me I would
never leave. In my spare time I exercise racehorses and own one as well. It is
a lot of fun.
I'm guessing your grandsons in Red Jumpsuit Apparatus are the Winter Brothers?
How interesting! I listened to the group quite a bit growing up and still do
now.
I hope to hear from you again, in the meantime, enjoy May!

Best Wishes,
Kathryn

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you all for the lovely pillow cases you sent! I definitely added a touch of comfort tony living space. My partner seems to be enjoying it a bit more than me however. I will definitely be sleeping well tonight. Thank you all so much!

Received these today from the USS Cook.

love this!  here are some pcs that went to the Cook.  This is the ship that I saw on the news and asked Maryellen to "find" them.  She is an awesome HAE assistant.

Debbie M

Thank you so much for the tropical themed pillow case!  I absolutely love it.
