Reading the posts after battle stations, it seems that first phone call comes with the request to have a really good meal after graduation.

One of our fellow moms - just pointed out they have White Castles in Chicago!! Do you think this might be considered a "really good meal" for our new sailors?!!

Seriously, we live in the South and it is a treat to go up north and have a White Castle! But what I'm really looking for is recommendations for eating out that weekend.

I hear Chicago Pizza is a must try...any others?

you know shawn seems so busy all the time. I think I have onlly talked to him for maybe 5 minutes since ...PIR ...I mean a 5 minute conversation...
Colton calls me from his room, and I get about 5 to 10 minutes with him before he has to Muster. I swear to god they Muster all the time , all hour of the day. I dont even understand why ? I think Muster is standing outside there door waiting until someone takes a head count.
Thats exactly what it is...have you ever been on the phone when they yell over the -what the heck you call it -megaphone-intercom-whatever...oh my lord, I lost one night...I heard that in the backround and I swear I gave birth to another child....
LOL I know I was just about to say that ...........whatever that yelling is. No matter when I talk to him there is this yelling. And everytime Colton stops talking to listen. I mean how do they get any sleep with all that racket going on ?
especially having nite classes...i wonder what time in the a.m. they start that racket...OMG shawn drops the phone and wets his pants I think-{gotta go gotta go}
LOL Colton too .........LOL
Hey mom I gotta go, gotta go, love ya, click!
Shawn is on night classes correct ?
Colton said he is strting MOD 2 tonight, then he gets phase 3 hopefully by next weekend ( not this one) but next :)
what is MoD haven't got a clue.. yes shawn is on night classes but from what I understand they switch to day classes -sometime...
They do labs, then they do a test. each one is they do is called a MOD. There are 3 MOD's in the class they are in. which is just basic beginning engineering, then they go on to another class ( same place) but out of beginner. They have 6 MOD's in that one, then they go on to another class ( same place ) for another round of MOD's. After all that they pass there begining engineering. Then they start to seperate for individual rate info. At least that is how I am understanding the break down.
So colton and shawn are learing the same thing even though they are different rates. (( that makes them snipes))
Yep shawn did tell me that...he said MOm we get to do all the cool stuff from BC like gas chamber...fire fighting etc...thanks
Hey I hate to eat and run,and leave ya hanging but I have to go-have errands to run and want to get home sometime today..its 3:45 here.....gonna try to miss rush hour...be back 2 morrow.
Hi girls, Just a quick hello . . . the big boss is down (at lunch right now) so I can't stay. Miss you:)!
