Theresa....I so enjoyed our chat earlier this evening. And, the question I had for Will can wait. It will probably resolve itself by the time Will can come back to us. He has a major priority right now with his family.

Will, what a sad time you are having right now. I am so sorry to hear about your grandfather. We will miss you, but you take all the time you need for family right now. You and your whole family will be in my loving thoughts and prayers to help you get through this sad time. May God bless you and all of your family!!! We'll be looking forward to your return when the time is right.

Debbie..unless it has been changed, I believe A school for STG is in San Diego. I believe my grandson was in SCC approx. 2 weeks; ATT varies because it is mostly independent study.

Hi Liesa Marie....I'll make sure I put my phone number in a PM to you. I haven't checked to see if you accepted my friend offer yet. My, you are a busy lady. Congrats to Lemuel and the best of luck to him in his clinicals....exciting!! My kids took the boat out Sunday and enjoyed a picnic lunch on the lake. I am so looking forward to doing that when I get back there.
Take care and HAGD.....

Good Morning everyone! Or should I say "GOOD AFTERNOON?" Wow, you all have been busy today. Will and Hoppi will have to play "catch up" when they sign on today. Welcome to our 2 newbies; we are glad you joined our group which, by the way, is a great group.
Cindy, YES, I believe your BF's correct rate is Corpsman. My grandson is training to be a GM (Gunners Mate) as is Karen C's son. Once on the school side of the base, he had SCC school and had to qualify for Phase 2 (so he could get his liberty). He was a Grad n Go and could have his cell, laptop, etc. almost immediately. I think his parents took them to him at his PIR because he knew he was moving to the school side immediately after his PIR. There are some sailors who don't move to the school side so quickly and some of them have rented lockers nearby to house their belongings until they get situated. Be sure to look up above in Discussion Forums to get info on the lockers and lots of other informative info. I believe he can shop at the NEX (?) on base, but Will and/or Hoppi can better answer this.
Letha - see my comment above to Cindy about your son's cell and computer.
Have a good day everyone and hang on for Will and/or Hoppi! :~} Vee

Hoppi thanks for the clarification on the liberty question.

My son finished indoc last week and is on hold for ATT, does anyone know how long the hold is for them to get started?

Hi Cindy...a warm WELCOME to our group. Our leaders are Will and Hoppi and everyone on here is very special and so helpful. Will and Hoppi will need to know a little more about you and your boyfriend, so they will probably ask you to pose a more specific questions. Hoppi I believe is still in school on Tuesday evenings, but one or both of them will be on in the morning. So, get your questions ready and ask away. And, remember no question is a dumb question on here. I am the "grandma" on here and we also have 2 dads.
Have a good night and I'll look for you tomorrow.....Nite all!!!
