Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Comment by diannep on June 26, 2013 at 7:02pm: For those planning on paying the tolls with cash, have LOTS of change....quarters, dimes, nickels....because the amounts differ. If your GPS offers an option of "no tolls" way, try that. I know there is a way to get to GL without the tolls. If renting a car, we suggest that you rent the IPass with the car. It is worth the surcharge to not have the hassle!

If you want, you can call the PAO in the morning and ask if there is a change in her status: 847 688 2405 And, yes, if she passed the run today, she will be at PIR on Friday. Hopefully, they can tell you if she passed her PFA. If she did, get on that plane! She will pass BattleStations.

Fingers crossed that she made it!

I have a question: My SR called Monday to say that she didnt pass the run test but had two more chances, Monday and today. If she passed on Monday I assume I will get the call today but what if she passed today? Would she do BS21 tonight? And if thats the case, would she still PIR as scheduled? I dont know if I should fly out tomorrow or not...so conflicted!! HELP! I know this is not the best place to post times of BS but please, please PM if you have any info! thank you all for the support and prayers for her winged feet!

The contractions have stopped and they released my Sailor from the hospital :) Thanks so much for the continued thoughts and prayers. I really appreciate it and My daughter/sailor said to thank all of you as well :)
