Hi, everyone :-) My daughter is on the Nimitz (just back from a deployment) where she worked as a blue. So glad to have her close to home for now (they are in San Diego).

Hello to you all. I am new Navy Mom. My son's PIR was April 02nd and he was a Grad and Go and arrived in Pensacola on April 03rd. He is waiting to start "A" school for ABH. I thought I would join this group now and it will be nice chatting with you all.

We had a great homecoming with our son. He is staying in SD until Friday when he & his girlfriend are coming here. We couldn't take his car because his dad still couldn't drive as his left ankle was in a cast. He (my husband) got the cast off today & is now in a walking boot. Thank goodness he is going to go back to work in 2 more weeks - can't get anything done at home because I've been doing for him - the house is a mess & need to get it straighened up before Brent & Tonia get here Friday night. So far, our son is going to try to get a transfer to the Carl Vinson, as it will be in SD soon. His time on the Nimitz is almost up. He is exploring all options. He also got a NAM while on deployment so he (and we) are very happy for him.

My sailor is on his way to SD. He will be home from an 8 month deployment. Can't wait to see him. There are a lot of Tigers on the ship now & they will all be getting off soon.
