My daughter is newly stationed at Goose Creek. I'm glad I found this site. My navigating skills around this area are rough. Any suggestions about how to communicate more efficiently?

Wendi- you are going to love it! Enjoy. I don't know whether the fun part is seeing your daughter, or going to Hawaii. (I'm kidding of course)

Terry, good luck to him in his power school.

Wendi, how exciting!  I'm so glad that H is enjoying it there.  Woohoo for a Hawaii trip. I can't wait to see pictures..

My daughter has been there for about a month now (with her Navy bf) and loves it too.  She has a job in a tea room in Kailua.  (What a life, huh?)  Of course, I miss her terribly, but hope to see her in a few months on our trip out there.

Hi everybody, H has been in Hawaii for 3 weeks now and is loving it. I just booked by flight and hotel. I will be going over in July. I am so excited. I have never been to Hawaii. I have actually never been on a big vacation like this.

Elizabeth-I know how you feel with the missing your sailor.I always want to put missing my son on my facebook status but just figure that wouldnt help him any.As long as they stay busy there is less time for them to think about home.Good luck!!

Phoebe - hope you are having fun in SD.  Glad you are in touch w/Mary.  I hope she and her husband sorted out everything with her sailors son.  ((Hug)) Elizabeth - tough being away from one another on a holiday or birthday.  I hope you can Skype to at least see his face - way back when on the day he was born did you ever imagine?  Hey Betsy girl - A will have wheels (way cool)!  Exciting that you have your trip planned so you can look forward to seeing your A.  Anita - how is Spain and your sailor?  Sorry I missed the chat Monday night.  I don't know where my head was at; I totally forgot!

Hi..just wanted to say hi and I really miss all of you...I check in often to see how everyone is doing and get the latest news on all the Sailors. My T started A school today and graduation is set for October 6th or 7th...which is some what bittersweet for me, I guess I felt like everything is ok as long as he is in school but I get nervous and worried about him being stationed and assigned to a boat I try so hard not to look to far into the future...I know he is getting antsy about being done with school and getting into the Fleet.  He has been terribly homesick lately and I'm never sure what to do or say because I just want to cry and I feel that would just make everything worse.  I know he will be fine and I know he has alot of friends and more then likely they are a little homesick as well so hopefully they are all able to bring up the ones that may be a little more down..just a mom's hope.  Tomorrow is his birthday so I'm sure that is not helping the emotions, this is the first birthday away from home I just want to give him a birthday hug....Sorry to be so down just having a moment...Thank you for listening...HUGS to all of you.

Phoebe, Have a great time.  I hope you enjoy your visit.  That would be so cool to see Mary.

For those of us who have a sailor at Corry Station, you might want to check out this video.  They did a commemoration of the Battle of Midway today there and you might see your sailor in the news video.  My Adam said he was one of the sailors standing at ease, but there are too many for me to pick him out.  At least I know he is in there.  lol

Will be heading out to SD to visit my son this weekend and I am hopeful I'll be able to meet up with Mary.  She is back on this site!!  She sounds like she is doing well.  I will try to be on tonight for our live chat....

Penny, ((hugs)) to you and my prayers go out to Cj.  What a wonderful adventure at such a young age.

Anita, ((hugs)) to you.  I will also be praying for your sailor.  My brother was in Rota, Spain when he was in the Navy and loved it also.  He said it was the most favorite out of all of the places that he went while in the Navy.

Mochi, ((hugs))  Good luck to your son in BC.  What a crazy life you have had lately, huh?  How is your sailor doing?  So sorry that your sailor can't get to your other son's PIR.  :(

Lori, the Army moms, gf's, etc. are so lucky to have you leading the way.  It sounds like Drew is doing great!

Hi Nancy, how is I doing?

Sharon, glad to hear that T is doing well.

Nothing really new on my end.  We have booked our hotel for the Pensacola trip.  My husband is driving a car (so Adam can have a car down there) and I am driving my car, so it will be kinda like our roadtrip to Maryland a few weeks, except with the bonus at the end of the trip, we will see A.  :)   He is still waiting for his security clearance to go through, so he's just doing busy work on the base until his A school starts.
