For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

((hugs)) I'm sorry that you won't be able to see your sailor this weekend. :( My A went back to Phase I for 2 weeks, because he didn't pass one part of a multiple part test. He just retook that test on Tuesday and got a 96. He has another test today and if he gets between an 87 to 99, he will go to Phase II, but if he gets a 100 on it, he will automatically go back to Phase III. My fingers and toes are crossed here.

Comment by pmgcakes on April 8, 2011 at 8:24am: Hi - Glad everyone is doing so well!... wanted to share our big day, 3rd Class Petty Officer Gaynor will be graduating A school at NNPTC this morning, then heading home for a 10 day leave Yay!.

This evening my daughter will be going to her Jr. Prom, she said last night I cant believe its finally my turn, she's so excited! My husband and I had to split up for the Day, he is in S. Carolina for the Graduation and I'm in NY for the Prom, but he did promise to video the entire ceremony for me. cant wait to see my boy in his whites!

Comment by Terry_T_Tuckersmom on April 8, 2011 at 6:27am: Well got some not so good news yesterday.My A got put back to phase one due to not locking something up @class.So now I won't see him onSunday when I get to Myrtle Beach and wont get to see him til the following Saturday.I told him to be a leader not a follower.Glad to see everyones sailors are doing good!!My sailor will be graduating A school the 22nd (hopefully no more trouble so he can get phase 3 and come home for leave).Well gotta go get ready for work(last day for a week).

He should class up right away. If he doesn't get six years he will get orders... Hope all is well with you and your new "digs".

I don't always post but I do always keep current reading up on this group. My S just called and he finished "A" school today and will grad tomorrow. He was going for top of his class but finished second. His score was 98.82 and the top was 98.83... What's not to celebrate??!! Hope all of you are celebrating your sailor and the wonderful "journey" they are on. Love to you all!
