LindaC1025, if you are still there, I feel your pain. Been there! Still am on many levels. PM me.
So quite on here....hope all got to enjoy your Sailors! come on 2nd leave!!!
I haven't been on in quite awhile, just wanted to stop by to say hi. I didn't get to go to Norfolk, but I was in Mayport when they came in. Got spend Saturday with my daughter, along with my husband, my son, my younger daughter, my brother, nephew and his wife, who had all joined us in Mayport. My son and husband joined my sailor on the ship for the tiger cruise, while my younger daugter and headed home. My sailor was able to pick up her car from storage in Norfolk today so her, her dad and her brother are currently making the 14 hour drive home. I'm glad my husband has got this time to spend with her as he will be leaving on Sunday morning to go train in Atlanta for a new job and will not get to be home while she is home on leave. I hope everyone enjoys thier time with thier sailor while they are home. Tomorrow is a big day in our family as my younger daughter FINALLY after a year of hard work get to sign her paper for the Navy. Couldn't be a prouder mom at this time. So glad the Lincoln has made it home safely and we can all enjoy having our sailors back in the states.
Well ladies, it's been an emotional rollercoaster ride. I am sure sorry I missed the homecoming, my sailor would rather have us come to California to see him so thats what we'll do. So, I've got to wait a couple more months to see him. I did get to hear his voice, and recieved a text from him last night when he landed there.
So, enjoy your sailor while they are home. God will continue to bless them and their families during their service and throughout life.
Todays the day, it's finally here...woohoo. I have to wait until Friday to see Matt, but i'm excited for everyone that sees their sailors today.I hope the rain stops soon, but we can't control the weather, so enjoy the day!!
I just watched the very last Boat Show, bittersweet as i will miss looking forward to them. @ Holly did i see your son? around 10.13, he looked familar for some reason.
Have a great day ladies and lets promise to keep in touch!!!
Sue :)
