My Sailor was manning the rails until it came a downpour and they had to go in
I wont you all to know how blessed we are to have a wonderful Chaplain named David Duprey on board the Lincoln. i have spoke with him on the phone my Sailor hit a bump but he assured me after speaking with the Master Chief things are not as gloomy at it seemed these last couple of days. Im thankful for all the crew on the Lincoln they truely are like family:) enjoy your sailors and God bless each and everyone of you. safe journey...
Yeah they were saying for both bases that they would not be letting ppl on wo military ID before noon. Sorry know that doesnt help much with this one. but for next time. have fun ladies! :)
Linda...how long will you be staying? I have 3 rooms booked at Navy Lodge. I booked extra days because I didn't know what his orders would be and I haven't canceled them yet being cautious. We will be checking out on the 8th but I have the rooms until the 10th. Perhaps the rooms I have will be available beyond what I had them for so you can add dates. Let me know.
Of course I'm already awake - waaaay before I need to be but at least I got a few hours of sleep. My sister and kids, and myself are planning on heading to the pier a little before 10 this am. I like being to places early, especially if it's a new place. If we end up being super early, that's okay, we'll be there and ready to go. My sister asked me why I wanted to be so close to the pier! I love her lots - but seriously!!!!!!! lol
Hey ladies just wanted to pass on this info from the Ombudsmans!!
For family members attending the ship pulling into Naval Station Mayport: there will be no shuttles available to take you to the base from the airport. If you are taking a cab make sure it is a cab that is allowed onto base before you get in the cab. It is roughly a 3 mile walk from the gate to the pier, however as long as your cab is allowed on base they can bring you close to the pier. Please feel free to call us at 757-447-4ABE with further questions.
That's great Janie !! I am hoping to get the same from my sailor before I leave tomorrow!!! I am sooooooo excited!!
gee this even includes maps of the pier and ship! lol
