the sleeping quarters are called a berthing - that's the large room and then they are broken into cubes-6 to a cube.
don't know about a barge.

Welcome Cheryle! This is a great website. I thought you said your son was in Arizona-AZ. what does that stand for? My son is attached to a squadron which is attached to the Lincoln. I took the tiger cruise last year after their deployment. So plan ahead for the next one. Check out my page for details and pictures. Have a wonderful time with him.

by all means, do the tiger cruise! I would do it again in a heart beat. The only thing I would differently is pack lighter!
glad you all had a great time.

Liz, I can so relate to "moms need to know". I always ask Ben if he is eating enough. I say he has a "hollow leg". And Melissa, an AZ Navy mom just met him and had dinner. She could'nt get ove how much her ate. haha.
Praying that Jared has a speedy recovery. Tell the Lincoln, Sue says "hello". I wish I was going with you!

the info for the cruise book was on the back of the order form. it was $43.00. worth every cent! I haven't finished taking a quick look thru, much less really pay attention to each one of our dear sailors. Ask your sailor to check. They gave them out on the ship.

it comes at the end of the deployment. your sailor will have a picutre and information packet sent to you if he is not married. we received our info last September and just got our book last week. My son did too. I don't know if he paid for his or if each sailor just gets one. I paid for ours.

GOT MY CRUISE BOOK TODAY! I am excited, can you tell?

It is beautiful. Huge. I wasn't expecting that. My husband and I are taking turns looking at it!
And no, there wasn't any other paperwork included in it.
Jackie, I can look up my order information if you want to pursue one.
