Hello AZ Navy moms, my daughter shipped yesterday to RTC. I have so many mixed feelings right now it's crazy! I'm so thankful to have this group and website. Looking forward to meeting other Navy moms who are sharing the same roller coaster ride!

It's so great to be welcoming all the new members!  It's been a few years since mine went to boot camp, but I remember attending his swearing in and watching him head to the airport like yesterday.   I spent those eight weeks adjusting to my new life, and learning about his rating (HM, or Hospital Corpsman) so I'd be up to speed.  Little did I know how much there would be to learn about that, and the Navy, and I'm still learning!   It's an amazing adventure, and it's so great to make new friends who have this experience in common.  I met my dearest friend Marsha, another corpsman mom, here on N4M seven years ago, and we talk on the phone just about every day but have only met in person ONCE!  So you never know what this adventure will bring LOL

Hang in there RedGerberDaisy! My son has been in now for 2.5 years and is doing great! It is a huge relief when you are able to talk to them almost daily again. Our other son leaves 6/29 for bootcamp and it's weird that I am starting this all over again. The emotions, anxiety and stress are starting to take over, lol. I'm in North Phx. Feel free to add me as a friend if you ever need anything. Hugs momma!!

Welcome kissinghand37! (I love your name, one of my favorite books I used to read my students.) I live in Gilbert so we are neighbors. Next Sunday evening is our monthly coffee gathering at 6:30pm at AJ's fine Foods outside on the patio. Please join us. We ususally do it the 1st Sunday of the month but due to the Super Bowl we moved it to the 2nd Sunday. But only for February. Welcome again!

thank you for welcoming me to this page.  My daughter is on day 1 of BC.  I spoke to her at 10:30pm last night for her "last" phone call.  Man I miss her.
