It's definitely a "go" for a get-together, July 13, 6 - 9 pm, Toby Keith's I Love This Bar and Grill at Mesa Riverview shopping center.  Everybody welcome!

PollyAnna, thanks for posting on the Discussion, it's easier to get a count that way.  Also I emailed an invite to the group, so RSVP'ing to that would be helpful too :)

Kathy I promise to call you soon, just been running around like crazy - like you!

Marcy, Jane...everyone...Next wednesday, July 11 at Toby Keith's sounds good for an AZ Moms mtg. Let me know if it is a "go." And what time? Maybe my hubby can come this time. There were a couple hubbies/Dads at our last mtg at Uncle Sam's.
Kathy....will you be able to go?
Cindy...how about you?

Marcy - thanks for the link!  And wonderful talking to you this morning.  I haven't too much time today to comment very much right now, but I will try to get back on sometime this weekend.  Obviously, I am new to this site, so "Hello" to everyone.  Count me in for the August 7th event.  It'll be great to meet other Navy moms.  Have a great day everyone.

Let's do it at Toby Keith's then :)  Another mom just asked if we could make it Wednesday, that ok?

Hi Jane!  All are welcome for sure. How about Wednesday or Thursday, and someplace at Mesa Riverview again like Cracker Barrel or something? Mesa Riverview restaurants

I got to the coffee at eight last night and missed the Navy moms, but there were still six there and it was so nice to sit on the patio and sip iced whatevers under the misting system.  Barb, you are so right, maybe next week?  Evening works for me... We need one soon b/c we have a party to plan!

Rear Admiral Scott Sanders, deputy commander for US Navy Second Fleet is coming to Arizona and wants to meet US!  He is also mentor to NOSC Phoenix and has asked to meet with Navy and military moms when he visits Arizona for two days next month.

The Executive Officer of Navy Operational Support Center Phoenix has asked me to organize the event for RADM Sanders, and the 'military moms' of the East Valley chapter of Blue Star Mothers of America have happily agreed to join us, so it's a good opportunity to meet them too :)

The event will be a pot luck at the Bass Pro Shop near the 101 and 202 intersection in Mesa. They have a beautiful meeting room that looks like Ernest Hemingway's library, where honorees have included a former Vice President, and they have offered it at no cost.  RADM Sanders will be coming from the 1:10 pm Diamondbacks game where he is scheduled to throw out the first pitch, so our event will be from 5 - 8 pm.  My email is marcy@marcyscott.com, cell 602-369-6900 - help!! :) Let's show the Navy how great its Arizona Navy Moms are.

Hey everyone....don't ya think it's time for us AZ Navy Moms to get together again?
What say ye all????
Comment by ProudGMBarb on July 8, 2011 at 1:33am
Cindy...you mean you don't have any scorpions at your place? I'll send mine over to ya! Seriously though, I also wonder how many birds were injured or killed in the storm. I found a little sparrow on the ground today. Don't know how long it was there; it was still alive when I found it, but by the time I placed in in a little box and brought it in to try to give it some water with a dropper, it was gone. I think it was a casualtyof the storm.
Looking forward to the next Blue Star meeting...

Marcy...glad you enjoyed the "storm" info and glad you like "Auntie B's" !!!

Jane...Dang...not able to make the Blue Star Moms coffee tonight. Pet sitting is really busy during summer months. Enjoy, and let us know how it was, okay?

Cindy...got lots of dirt here too! Took hubby 3 hours just to clean off the back patio. I am really just grateful we didn't lose any trees. Only damage was one of the shutters on front of house got ripped off. If you buy that power washer, you could always come over here when you're done at your place! lol.
