I just gave the front of my house a bath, & taking a break before washing down the backyard and vacuuming the mud puddle formerly known as my pool.  Barb you are one efficient gal, blogging the storm!  Thanks for the links, I shared with my friends.  Love your website by the way!  Auntie B's

The dust storm sure was a doozy! If any of you missed out on the fun, I posted some clips on my website, including a time-lapsed video. Did this mainly for our out-of-state friends and family to see!

Jane...kudos to you for getting those lovely girls involved making survival bracelets!

Kathy...it would be great to see you at the next Blue Star Moms meeting. And I know what you mean about a couple of "dull" days would be nice!

Jane, that is so cool, what a batch of beautiful girls!  I like the colors too - wow, 34!

Hi Kathy!!  I've tried to call you, your phone #s changed?  The 'cranking' thing makes sense, and must help a bit when they go for their Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist qualification.

Dillon'sMom...  huigs to ya,lady!! My son was home for 15 days before shipping off to Japan. He is on the George Washington now. He emails 1-3times/per week. He is stationed in Japan for 3 yrs!!!! Dillon wil be fine.

I STILL have my daily teardrop session...it is  a mixture of sadness (missing him so)and pride in my son's honor, courage and commitment.

JoJo...if you come across the moms who would enjoy some visuals about BC, here's a couple videos that are quite enjoyable and informative:

The slide show was cool, but I wonder when it was made. The map of RTC showing the ships looked a bit outdated. Anyway, give these videos a look and see what you think!

You can do this, but oh I know it's hard; we're all here for you 24/7 whenever you need to chat.  Keeping busy is so important. Got your FPO/military priority mail boxes standing by ready to be filled with care package stuff?  Have you gotten him a Navy Rack Pack, if allowed on his ship?  For me, keeping a care package always in progress helped.  Maybe you'll get to visit him in HI, that would be nice!

DillonsMom...sending you lots of hugs and support. You have raised a great young man, and I know you are very proud. Don't say "good bye". Just..."see ya later." Remember, you have lots of support here with your "Navy family."
