Have a great time and enjoy the cooler temps for us! I'm just glad the pool is warm enough for me now :)
I called Bass Pro Shop on Saturday to see if they had 550, they were sold out & he said they can't keep it stock. Who knew?1 Lol

Occurs to me that my son's ship was on a humanitarian mission, so lots of time ashore setting up clinics etc, that may be why the stuff came in so handy.

Jane, I got more too!  Red and black, but was hoping for Navy camo.  Did you go to the store on Main in Mesa?  My son says they do use it for a lot of things - hanging stuff up, tying things down etc.  There are a lot of sources for buying 550 cord online, too.

Our recruiter story ended well, just takes persistence! The recruiters are such a goldmine of good info well into the months after enlistment, so if it takes dropping off cookies or whatever, it's worth it to build a good relationship :)

Just too funny that we all got right back on here so quickly! Love the pic! Navy Moms are awesome!

It was great meeting each of you...look forward to many more fun times together. Making the survival bracelets was neat...after I got the hang of it that is!

Thanks Marcy for letting us know about the Aug 7 event. Keep us posted!

Good night everyone!

I had the best time!! At the BSM meeting all made "survival bracelets" out of 550 cord as a fund raiser. I think we represented well :) Loved meeting you all, Yay Navy moms!
