Hi all, it's been over a week since I posted...back problems, but better now.

Received a quickie email from our grandon sailor last night. He started A school, but said he wasn't fully adjusted to the Night school schedule yet!  I knew something was going on, because I hadn't heard from him for a week. Yes, I admit I was starting to be a worry wart!. He said he'd fill me in with more info when he calls this weekend. Can't wait to talk to him!

Guess the night school schedule can be hard to get used to. Kinda like working a swing shift!

Thanx for the encouragement!

We used to live in Tucson. Both of my kids and my hubby are Tucson natives. I'm a transplant from NH.  Now we are in Maricopa.

Hey..Ang... I just realized TOO that you are in BOTH groups. YIKES...maybe I've not had enough caffeine yet!!

Where do ya live? How long has your son been in Japan?

Ah...boot camp arrival.Glad tha is over! My sailor left for Japan on Monday. I haven't heard from him! I keep reminding myself though "Well thank God,its NOT like boot camp...he has proven himself already and is a SAILOR in the finest Navy".

I STILL want a call or an email, though!!

Yes.  We received a call from him about 9:30 last night.  He said he was there, the clothes would come in a couple of weeks & maybe he can make a phone call in 3-4 weeks.

Thanks to all for the prayers.  He has made it to the first stop.  Now it's a waiting game to GL.  He was able to sleep some.  I know he is really tired, but by the time he is allowed to get some sleep, he will be ready for it.

My prayers go out to the other familes who's sons left today with mine.  None had been through this before & they are going through what we all went through.  Hope some of them join our site.

Actually I did quite well.  got a call from #2 - not there yet, just an update on status of leaving.  Did some on-line checking & found out why.  We are looking forward to the call when he arrives.  There were a couple of moms I spoke with this morning.  Told them about this site & others that may help them.  Hopefully all will join not only this one but the BC as well.  I remember how difficult it was with #1.  I sure wish there had been some experienced moms that time.  Hopefully I was helpful to the ladies I talked with this morning.

Sending prayers Diane!  After the awesome Navy Seals took out Osama, many high schools were graced with the presence of Navy Recruiters.  My second son, who is a junior in High School, made it a point to visit with them.  All I can say is God be with me!

MommyHunt:  Hotel & Restaurant Management.

Tomorrow #2 son will be leaving for BC.  Here we go again - we went through this about 5 1/2 years ago with #1 son.  It's still difficult, but at least this time, we know what to expect
