Sue-Pillowcase Lady, Is the site where I join called ":Heads At Ease Project"? I think I can get a few people to collect whatever is needed! Just let me know if that's the site. My son will probably be in Great Lakes until the beginning of March. Then I believe he graduates from A School.
I was thinking that I would involve my fellow employees in this project and since we have branches in Tucson, it would be easy to ship whatever we get to you!!!

Thank you Jane..I have not joined that group yet...I will now.

Dillons Mom...my son will be attending Corpsman school as soon as they have enough Sailors to class up. He is staying in the barraks...Do the barraks have a ship name? What does rate mean? and what does GM stand for? I want to learn all the acronyms:)

Walker...I am in St. Johns but I grew up in Eagar...We probably know each other!

Mickee6e...I am close friends to most of the Whitings here in St. Johns! They are wonderful people!

I am finally coming down off my "high" from seeing my son graduate last weekend! It was EVERYTHING you all said it would be...plus more! How excited we were when we finally spotted our sweet boy....man, marching in his Division. He got overnight, weekend liberty since his A school will be in Great Lakes! Just as everyone on Navyformoms said, he was a different person... very serious, very detail oriented, and very caring. I loved every second of it; but, through all the excitement, I forgot to prepare for the moment he walked away to go back on base! I didn't expect the flow of emotion that hit me as I watched him return to his new life as a Sailor! Soon, though, I received a phone call from him, (on his new cell phone,) telling me how "awesome" his new quarters were and how he has already made tons of new, and old friends. My boy was happy, so how could I be anything but happy for him:) Thanks Arizona friends for all your encouragement and support!

Linda, thank you so much. If you would come and join the Heads at Ease group, you can find lots of ways to help. We can always use fabric, $ for fabric or money for shipping.
GL will be a cold place to spend the winter. how long is the school?

Sue-Pillowcase lady the interview was terrific! I live in North Phoenix, but I would like to know how I can help. I do crafts but unfortunately I don't sew. How can I help?: Thanks so much for all you do! My son is still in A school for Medical Corpsman. He's in GL.
