FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

You are invited to attend the Annual DEP Family Potluck, sponsored by Navy Recruiting Stations, Tucson

To be held Saturday, November 14, 2009 from 1pm – 4pm at the Naval Reserve Center, 3655 S. Wilmot Rd, Tucson, Arizona 85730
(South of Golf Links)


Our guest speaker will be the honorable Rodney Glassman, City of Tucson Ward 2 Council Member and a First Lieutenant in the United States Air Force JAG Reserve



In order to provide a variety of offerings to all attending please consider bringing a dish according to the first letter of your last name:

A – I : Main Dish (meat, pasta or casserole)

J – R: Side Dish (Vegetable, Fruit, Salad)

S – Z: Dessert or Bread


Keep our DEPPER’s needs in mind, low fat and low sugar, drinks provided


Dress Code is Dress Casual – DEPPERS must wear DEP shirts

Julie, last year our DEP Potluck was on base and we had the recruiters there to assist all to get on base. This year's Potluck is at the Reserve Center and that's not on base.

I don't think we've planned anything for November in Tucson yet. I just got the date for the 2nd Annual DEP Family Potluck here in Tucson - Saturday, November 14th!! Place and time to be announced as soon as we figure it out!

Julie, every 'department' has an ombudsman so it sounds like you have everything under control. As long as your son has passed your name on to his command your name will be on the list of guests at the gate to get on base. It's not nearly as intimidating has it looks, there are ships coming in all the time with lots of family and friends who want to be there to welcome back that sailor!
Your ombudsman for the squadron will be able to answer any/all questions you have.
