NIce pictures Pamela, thanks for letting me know they are there. It is an awesome experience. The Lincoln is based in Everett Washington. Ben is actually attached to an airwing, so he is based in Virginia Beach, at Oceana.

Yes, it was an eye opener. They work hard! Just the constant up and down the stairs and crossing the length and width of the ship to get somewhere is tiring. I learned to pack my little tiger back pack for the day with whatever I thought I needed. And no days off when at sea. It was so much fun and I am so glad that I went!

Hi all,
I posted some personal pictures on my page from the tiger cruise. I wrote captions but they didn't show up.

Navy seeks new recruits via Moms
Arizona Daily Star
Tucson, Arizona | Published: 10.11.2008
In an effort to attract new recruits, the U.S. Navy has launched a Web-based campaign aimed specifically at mothers — an idea so innovative experts predict it will one day be copied by other branches of the military.
About a dozen Tucson moms are in on the ground floor of the new Navy effort, NavyforMoms.com — a sort of Myspace for military matriarchs.
The site was launched in response to research that showed mothers were more likely to believe other mothers than recruiters, a Navy official said.
Read about the new recruiting campaign in Sunday's Arizona Daily Star.

Welcome Lynn!
I remember when I was 6 or 7 and we would drive to Phoenix, going through Florence Junction, Coolidge and then Chandler. Well, it only took about 2 minutes to drive through Chandler back then. There used to be a Navy/Air Force jet in a small park on the main drag going north and south??? Is it still there. The only street I know by name is Chandler Blvd. My son (the one that got "capped" today) attended ASU West Campus. We drove through your lovely city all the time.
