I'm here Navy Mom (J) :) Any other peeps out in the NW valley?
Where are the AZ moms on this site????? It says 272 members, hard to believe.......
Would be nice to see some activity here.
Sunday Feb. 10th 6:30 Navy Mom gathering. PM me if you are interested, I will send you the address in Gilbert. We are meeting at my house vs. AJ's for now.
Hope to see some new Moms!
Our monthly gatherings are social. Blue Star Mothers chapter was mostly business (fund raising to purchase items to send care package, help a Sailor or his family with financial problems etc.) but we did have a good time working together.
I will send you a friend request then we can talk more openly on Private Messaging.
So your monthly get togethers are in place of this Blue Star. I want to go but Sunday's are not good for me, someday.
Kbpoohbear, no there is not a chapter in those areas. The 2 I know of is the one in Maricopa, President is Tracy. Also, the Southwest Valley Chapter meets in Glendale and their President is Theresa Koontz. Both great ladies. We had the east valley chapter but suspended it due to lack of membership, sadly. That is why we meet for a coffee gathering the 1st Sunday of the month unless it is a special Sunday. Such as this year Feb. 3 is Superbowl so we are meeting the following Sunday the 10th.
I was looking into the Blue Star group but I can't find a chapter in the Mesa Arizona Area. Does anyone know if there is one in Mesa or Apache Junction?
We will be meeting at my house Sunday evening due to predicted rain and cooler temps. Please send me a private message if you would like my address in Gilbert. Would love to have any of you come join the group! We meet at 6:30pm.
Well the luncheon did not get off the ground. But we did do a Challege Coin Craft making day at my house. AZ Navy moms join the "Proud Navy Moms of AZ, just like any Navy Moms only a lot Cooler" group and you will see all the events there. It is managed by Sarah Clyne and Marcy Tankersly Scott. Lots of fun! This Sunday is the monthly Navy Mom coffee at AJ's Fine Foods at 6:30 on the patio. If you are in the area and want to meet other Navy moms please come!
An Arizona Navy Mom luncheon for all is being planned for mid December. I will send more info when the exact details are confirmed. Hope all moms from all over the state can come and meet!!
