Hello Storm! I am previously from Buckeye and my SR graduated from high school this past May. What year did your son graduate? Maybe our kids know each other. My son is in BC now and his PIR is scheduled for Nov 22nd.

Good Morning! I don't see my city listed, but I'm from Buckeye. I'm new to this whole Navy thing and just trying to keep up on all of the posts and amazing info I'm finding all around this site. It's a little overwhelming when you only have a few minutes each day to try to see what's going on :)  My son is currently in BC & I will be there for his graduation 11/8! Very excited and nervous about this all!

What a moving picture, definitely made me cry. My sons grandma passed away in August, he wore his uniform and was a pallbearer, it was very special.

IAJ our boys may know each other. my son is set to graduate from FT school in Groton the 18th. He got stationed in Norfolk so that's where he is going next

Comment by IAJ on October 7, 2013 at 7:26pm

Hello.  My son joined the Navy 1 year ago and is just finishing up school at Groton where he will be stationed permanently.  We are currently living in Scottsdale although most of our time in AZ has been in Cave Creek.  My condolences to the family that just lost their dad.  The picture with the grandson presenting the flag brought tears to my eyes.

Jane, I'm so very sorry for your loss. What a beautiful tribute honoring your father!
