Hey BADma, Maricopa is now on our list of towns!  This group's creator Joyce hasn't posted since 2010 and 119 members ago, so N4M added me as a co-admin and I've updated our info :)

Great picture of your dad Jane :)

ArizonaNavyMom PIR is a great reason to miss the luncheon.

Hopefully we can see you and other new moms at the monthly get togethers at AJ's in Gilbert on Val Vista and Baseline.

Next one is Oct 7th at 630pm.

We try and get together to chat every first Monday of month.

Its free , some get food and soft drinks ..I just do water !

I love the talking about what our kids have been up to with their ships, duties, all life happenings.

Aww Jane what a nice tribute to your Dad and those wonderful heroes of the greatest generation! So many have grandsons and granddaughters serving our country and we know that many made that decision because as you said they had these wonderful role models. I am sure your Dad was bursting with pride having his grandson Hayden wear a Sailor's uniform like he did many years ago.

Hello All-My son PIRs on Oct 18, then off to A School in Goose Creek. We're from Gilbert. I can't attend the lunch on Oct 19, because I'll be at Great Lakes, but I look forward to the next get together.

Whoops... should have mentioned that my son left from Phoenix on the 26th.

Hi all!   I live in FL, but my son left for boot camp on Sept. 26th.  I believe one other young man left that same day with him.   Hoping to connect with other moms who have recently sent their kids off.

How do we add/change locations on the above description? Maricopa  is not mentioned, and there are 3 Navy moms in Maricopa, that are also registered on N4Ms.

Thank you Navy Mom for the bday wish..it was great for me to talk to you at Aj's on our Monday get together..words of wisdom are always appreciated.

Looking fwd to next chat on Monday Oct 7th..at AJ's in Gilbert Val Vista Baseline.

Although ive heard from son since seeing you so im generally cheerier ..ha!...his bday is during sea trials starting that week in Oct so i will be depressed again im sure ..as i was counting on him coming home.So that makes 2 bdays missed so far..getting used to all of it ...kinda..still sucks tho.

Anyway..there is also a luncheon get together in PHX organized by a mom that was at AJ's..its on Saturday Oct 19th at Chili's Rest on Camelback at 12pm.

Im sure one of us will retype that info as it gets closer for a reminder..hopefully more moms can come form all over state like last yr .

Thanks again and hope to see more mommies at AJ's and in Phx ..whoohoo!
