Yay AZ mommies!  I get to go to home to our lovely desert land  in June to see family for a long weekend.  People think I'm crazy when I say I'd rather go home for the summer than be in some hot AND humid place (kinda like where I'll be this summer in GL!)  I always say but it's a DRY heat! LOL

Teachjar...what an awesome valentine surprise!!! I'm so happy for you! These are definitely wonderful moments to remember! My son told me he was not able to get leave at Christmas (he hadn't been home since joining)... I was disappointed but understood...to my surprise and elation, he showed up in uniform to our Christmas Eve dinner and surprised our entire family! I'm cherishing all of the milestones and great times.. Have a great night!

Taminavymom, We plan on going in may sometime. I would love to have my coffee on the beach.... I really miss my little girl! She really wants to get started and get on a ship and see the world....

Hi Connie. I emailed you my friend's names. We need to get together for lunch sometime if you're in Flagstaff.. My son experienced several holds before each of his schools. I went to visit him on base and stayed at the Navy Lodge...it was so fun and neat to see the base and meet his friends. You can walk to the beach out the back of the hotel...so nice. I had my coffee by the beach every morning. Hahn...wish I was there now..lol
