FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:
Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!
Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!
Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hi everyone!! What an AWESOME WELCOME!! Thanks to everyone for welcoming me!!!!! This site has been absolutely amazing!!!!! I hope to meet up with any of you AZ moms. I am SO down for a road trip!!!! :-) Got my airline tickets last night for my boys PIR! IT'S REAL NOW!!!!

Welcome Robin! I am in Maricopa (Pinal County) but I used to live in Tucson. This site will help you SO much. I hope that someday we can meet. There are 2 Navy moms from Tucson who are on the Japan mom's page..Maybe we can get you all connected.

HI from Tucson - I am a new Mom to all this. My son is at Great Lakes, a little over a week now. His PIR is 12/21 :-) SO excited to see this!!!! On Saturday I was driving down Oracle in Tucson and saw a truck with the "I am a proud parent of a Sailor" bumper sticker and wanted to yell - ME TOOOOO! hahahaha, but I didn't! Looking forward to meeting up with all you Arizonans on here!!!!! :-)

Jane, thanks so much! My son is going in undesignated also. For now anyway. What is a BM? Still learning Navy abbreviations :) Let me know what Stephanie has to say. I'm trying to find out all I can about where is he is going to be and what it's like. I guess it's just the mom in me still kicking in...
