Hello Ladies! I am looking for people that are in Pinal County. I am getting our Blue Star Moms Pinal County Chapter underway and we still need a few member. If you are interested, please contact me ASAP, as I am planning a great lunch to introduce everyone. Thank you!
I feel bad for your son that he is in a division that does not comply because they all pay the price, unfortunately that is part of the training.
They are struggling in 274. I got a 2 minute call, but he said they lost privileges because someone in the div went outside without their cover then didnt salute and officer so all got punished. My son says the group just screws up constantly and most are frustrated.
Thanks for responding. Hopefully he will get a call soon. He seemed to be doing well in the first few letters but said his division is struggling. Only a few mom's have gotten calls so far. Hopefully he has not had one taken away. I will keep my cell on me.
raca28..got an email about this on my phone and wanted to sign on and respond .i am sorry you havent got call..i encourage you to ask fellow PIR members on here and facebook to see if something specific is happening in your SR's div..
I received 1 19 min call at 130 pm az time later than most..as day that was set for calls for sons div was only dentist day and my son had 4 teeth out..so they let them call a few days later..some get calls taken away for bad behavior some due to sick or dental.
some earn more calls later too.
as long as he has calling card and enough minutes left i would just take your cell on volume high ringer everywhere with you...the area code will be 847.
hope this helps..ive gotten 6 letters so far and i have to say even though i still cry and esp at certain triggers it is not 24/7 anymore..as the letters help..so you have things to look fwd to.
ethan is my baby and my house is empty of kids it isnt easy but it does get better
take care
printing off facebook things and sending them in the letters... I don't know why though
So my son just completed his fourth week and I still have not received a call. I do know that his division is struggling and that could be part of the reason. Have there been divisions who have not gotten the mid way call? It would really be nice to hear from him.
I have seen that advice about having friends write letters before he goes and sending them sporradicly through his boot camp time so I am definitely going to do that. We are going to have an Anchors Aweigh party for him :) I am thinking about having silicone bracelets made to give everyone that comes to the party and asking them to wear them while he is in bootcamp so when they see it they might think to pray for him.
I am hearing on other groups that the FB thing is a no-no
Thanks also for the info on the sheets and blankets. He will be going to Groton after PIR and I am worried about him being cold
that questionaire is cute Jane... I so plan on doing that I am not sure I will get letters otherwise :/ my son does not like to write anything so I imagine any effort he makes that way will go to his gf
