Hi Everyone!
I'm in Phoenix.
My daughter (20 next month) has decided to join the Navy. She is in the early stages of the process. She is getting her braces off tomorrow and will be heading to her recruiter to discuss the ASVAB and BC date options.
It's been a little bit of an emotional roller coaster for me. My head tells me this will be a great thing for her, be proud of her for making such a mature decision. But my "mommy heart" is crying and only wants to never let her leave the house! LOL. The 2 parts, head and heart are battling each other.
How have you dealt with this when you were first told? Especially if you've NOT been a military family before?
It was great to have 2 new moms join us on the patio last night!
See you next month!
