ProudGMBarb -- enjoyed the video!  Thanks!

snoogeroo -- my SR just left on 5/15.  His PIR is 7/13.  This site has been a life saver for me!  We live in Mesa.

You may have seen this before...but it's always heartwarming because all us moms want our military sons/daughters to be cared for:

Wow thanks ProudGMBarb.  What a wonderful tribute for Memorial Day.

A very nicely done restoration and sweet tribute.

Restored from film taken 67 Years Ago along Kalakaua Ave. in Waikiki capturing spontaneous celebrations that broke out upon first hearing news of the Japanese surrender.

Way back when with Kodachrome 16mm film !

Jane, yes I would be interested in Blue Star Mothers of America.  I'm up for meeting too.  Do you usually meet at a restaurant?

Thanks for the welcome!  I live in Mesa, but my SR was living in Denver when he signed up so he left from there.  Funny thing... I started the page for our PIR group -- don't know what got into me, but I'm hoping to learn a lot.  My son's rating is Aviation Electrician/Aviation Electronic Technician (I think I got that right).  His A school is in Pensacola.  Thanks for the airport advice.  Do you think I need to book the hotel now?  Any suggestions?

Silverado, I am also in peoria;-). A get together would be great, especially if on a weekend and wherever works for me. :-)
