My son is in his second week at bootcamp.  We just got the form letter -- PIR 7/13.  Any other Arizona bootcamp moms out there?

Thought this was important enough to share:

Regarding the release of Ali Musa Daqduq….

Two short videos…the second one is with Congressman Allen West.  Worth your time.

Also, if you haven’t already seen it, here is a copy of Allen West’s letter to Obama.

Jane - Thank your son for his service from us!  Have a great time together.

Jane....love the pic! Enjoy your time together!

Jane - so happy for you.  It is so wonderful to see our sailors when they come home, especially after they have been so far away.  Eric liked Sasebo, but the last time he saw it was right after the earthquake and tsunami.  It was a little different there then, to say the least.  Good news about the ships only have damage, no injuries and no serious damage.

Silverado,  Wow, sounds like your son is an adventurer!  Christian already commented that Sasebo was a very nice place!  I'm hoping he'll take pictures whenever he can. But I think he'll be on the ship next week.

Christian is my grandson, but really like a son to us, as he lived with us for some time. He is very special to us, since he is our only grandson...and a terrific person besides! lol.

Jane,  that's great news!  I know you will be jumping for joy when you see him! Enjoy!

ProudGMBarb - My non-Navy son is traveling through Japan right now.  It is his college graduation gift to himself.  He LOVES Japan!  He is hoping to come home and find a job where he can live there and he is disappointed that a week has flown by already. He says everyone is so helpful and friendly.  I hope your  son has a chance to travel a little while stationed in Japan.

Comment by ProudGMBarb on May 15, 2012 at 11:45pm

Christian is now in Sasebo, Japan! Will be staying on base until his ship gets back into port there. He says it is very nice there. Makes me rest a bit easier!
