FYI regarding Boeing Hiring of Wounded Warriors (posting in two parts)

Wounded Warriors hiring effort

Every day here at the Mesa site, we are proud of the hard work we do to support our warfighters. During the last decade, fighting two wars, many of our brave men and women in uniform have returned wounded and had difficulty in returning to the workforce. As a further demonstration of our commitment to them, and as a site with a growing business, we have decided to open a limited number of job requisitions exclusively to wounded warriors. These are people who meet a standard DoD classification.

If you know of an individual who meets this classification and is interested in applying for a job, we encourage you to share this information with them.

The requisitions (see list below) are available and open for approximately the next two weeks at the Boeing employment site: http://www.boeing.com/careers/index.html. Applicants will have to create an account to upload a resume and profile. Information on how to do that is on the site.

To help Boeing recruiters identify candidates who apply for these positions, we ask that you make sure wounded warrior candidates who wish to apply do the following in their submission to the requisition:

IN ALL CAPS at the top of their resume and when inputting their profile please have them enter; WOUNDED WARRIOR CANDIDATE APPLYING FOR REQUISITION #

We just got back from seeing Christian off at the airport. He was upbeat and looking forward to his next adventure, so that kind of made it a bit easier to say goodbye.  At least I keep telling myself that! lol. Soon he'll get a taste of what the Navy is really all about. I don't think they can really tell for sure whether they like it or not when they are just going to school. It's off to the fleet for him now. And its off to go shopping for me...to take my mind off missing him!

AsherzMom... I just get soooo excited about PIRs! You are gonna love it!

The TSC (Traning Support Center) page is a facebook page for those going to A school in Great Lakes. I don't know if there is one for Charleston. I don't recall seeing one. I wish your soon to be Nuke Sailor all the best!

Oh yes...we are enjoying our visit with Christian. So far we've had fun looking at pictures from when he was little...got a definite reaction from his pic naked in the bathtub!!! lol.  He mowed the grass, helped plant some new shrubs, went bowling with his friends. Said he isn't used to relaxing so much, so keeps asking what he could do! Too funny. I told him to enjoy it...he will be back at it soon...especially on first deployment...he'll have to experience cranking!

Good night everyone...or should I say good morning...it's now after 2am...time to go to dreamland. Pleasant dreams I'm sure....knowing he's home.
