Kathy....oops...sorry about that! Yes, it surely touched the heart. I thought every Mom would enjoy it!
Hey Kathy....how's your new grandbaby?
Good news...our sailor is getting closer and closer to leaving for the fleet. Leaves San Diego tomorrow for a short class (probably a month) in Norfolk, then off he goes...to the USS Germantown. And he is graduating C school with honors! Woo Hoo! I'm allowed to brag, right??!!! Lol.
Thank goodness he will get a month leave before he goes! Seems to good to be true...a whole month?!!!
Hello Ladies...hope you are all having a beautiful Navy Moms Sunday! I wanted to share a video I just watched. Not what we normally post here....but I think you will all enjoy it. Very touching indeed.
Jane - Maybe so! As I said, I will definitely be going to the store to buy a number of items for him.
Thank you Jane, MM Mom! I will look forward to hearing from you and about the Blue Start Mothers Group!
Dear AZ Moms,
I am new to this website. I live in Gilbert and I am very interested in learning about the Blue Star Mothers. Is there anyone who could email me about this organization? My email is teachjar@hotmail.com. Thank you so much!
Oops, goofed! The young man's last name is Foulk, not Fould. Sorry to Kevin!
Yes, as Jane said, please keep us posted! I haven't heard anything about that.
On a side note, a young man by the name of Kevin Fould dropped off a grocery bag at our house with a note attached. For his Eagle Scout Project, he is asking for donations to the Military "Packages from Home", with a whole list of things he is requesting (not from everyone, of course). Looks somewhat like the list you, Jane, gave us before Christmas so you could make up packages to send. I think Kevin's Eagle Scout Project is wonderful! More power to him! Needless to say, I will contribute. He also said if we would like to help with postage, that would be a great help, too.
Hi AZ Moms,
I was wondering if there are any SEAL moms out there. I see many other communities of Sailor Moms and would like to connect with another SEAL mom in AZ.
Also, my prayers go out to the Estrada family May they feel God's strength and I pray they hold their memories of their son close to their heart.
Hi Brandon's mom - don't check in often but saw your post, and ProudGMBarb is correct my son in currently in Nuke school - close to finishing A School. It has been "peaks and valleys". He has excelled in some phases and struggled in other phases. As he says, some instructors teach more to his way of learning. We do not hear from him often as he is very busy with school and homework. Currently, working hard to comprehend the last of the material and, also, review earlier material so that he is prepared for tests. As others have said, the Navy keeps them on task and I am impressed with my son's maturity in working hard to keep his grades up. I agree the Navy4Mom Nuke site is a wealth of information.
Good Morning Ladies,
My son is also in power school. He finishes in April and has a few weeks before nuke school starts. I believe they have their duty days then the rest is free time. I want to send my 17 yr old to see his brother in SC and was told this is the best time between schools. Its great to see so many mom's here in AZ with children in nuclear power!
