Brandon's mom - I'm going to send a request to you for an invite to your page so we can have a little more privacy - my son is on stand-down - that means he has duty & watch - a lot.

Brandon's mom - my #2 son is at Nuke school.  He is in between A school & power right now.  It's tough, but he did well.  Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Jane,  I think there is a Mom Leanne here who has a Nuke Sailor.  Leanne, are you out there? If so, let BrandonsMom know!

Our sailor is an ET.

I bet that surprise call kept a smile on your face all day! Gosh... Hawaii...Japan... pretty nice.  I hope he had time to take in some sights. He has a hard and dangerous job and deserves some R&R !

BrandonsMom....Can I go to PIR with you??!!!  LOL!  You are going to love, love it!

I have not been on in awhile and decided to check out whats been going on.  I am so sad to hear about this sailor. My heart goes out to his family!!

Jane..I agree with you about corpsmen...they are frequently exposed to much danger. Bless them for their commitment and bravery.

I'm wondering in this instance what the "non-combat" related training incident was that took this sailor's life. Maybe we will find out in a few days.

Comment by Anita on February 16, 2012 at 8:48pm

So very sad!  My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

BADma...yes very sad. Thank you for letting us know. Here  is the DOD announcement plus  a couple of news links:

I pray that Kyler's loved ones will feel God's love, presence, and strength to help them through this difficult time. May they know that Kyler will always be forever young, forever safe, and forever free and alive in the Light and Love of God and in the embrace of all those who have gone before him. Amen
