teachjar...Welcome! So glad you joined us AZ Moms. We have a super group representing many areas of the valley. Sometimes our group is quiet, but everyone is always here to try to help or just lend an ear to listen.

When you have time, tell us a bit more about your sailor son. We love to hear how everyone's sailor is doing and it helps us learn too. And with your over three years as a Navy Mom, I know we could benefit from your knowledge!

Looking forward to sharing the Navy experience with you!

Hi AZ moms!  I am brand new to this site.  Glad to find an AZ group.  Moved here 6 years ago, son in Navy for over 3 years and feeling the need to connect to others that share our experiences!

Hi. I live in Peoria and my daughter is now stationed in Everett, WA. She has her 2 year anniversay coming up in January so will be there for 4 more. Won't be home for Christmas but does come home the 29th so will be here for New Years.

Hi everyone. My son is stationed at Bethesda Naval hosp. He is a nurse on the oncology unit. He won't be able to come home until Jan. after the Holidays. This is his 1st Christmas away from home. It is much harder on me than it is on him. I sent him a small tree because if I didn't he wouldn't put one up. He says he is really starting to like the D.C. area. I went out to visit in Oct.and stayed about week. I am also a nurse so we are able to share experiences.

Thank you ThanksMom, I will/am doing that almost everyday..lol. Sometimes my hand cramps from writing so much but know it will help her as it does me. I know it gets better so that's what keeps my chin up & looking so forward to PIR next month.
