JoJo - Wow!  What a nice thing to say!  Thank you!  (and I'll remind you of what you said at a later date :))

No, you don't have to have anyone with you.  But I figured my son would be busy doing his job and probably would not have very much time to spend with me.  I just thought it would have been nice to have someone I knew come along with me.  Sorry for the misconception.

I was never able to take advantage of a Tiger Cruise with my son on the USS Ronald Reagan.  No one could go with me unfortunately.  I won't have an opportunity anymore, because I don't think my son will re-up after his shore duty.  Oh, well, I can still visit him in San Diego!

So awesome - did not even realize this opportunity was out there for families.

ThanksMom - would LOVE to go to San Diego sometime!  I'm sure my son would love to have a bunch of Navy moms descend upon him.  Ha!

Thanks for sharing, Jane!  It really is an eye-opener, isn't it?  And I didn't even stay on board over night, just for the day.  And exhausting is right!  So glad you made it back safely.  Sleep well.

Thx Diane, that is what I am doing.  Will be seeing him over Thanksgiving.  Hoping to get a better feel for how he is doing.  When he doesn't call or text I figure he is at the school house so I give him his space.  Thanks for the encouraging words for the Mom :)

Leann:  My son is also in nuke school.  He's been there a bit longer than your son, as he arrived in July.  Just be real supportive & encourging.  I know it's really tough, but as my husband keeps telling our son, with each week that passes, you're one week closer to finishing.

Edwina... are you anywhere near Lake Pleasant and/ or Cibola Vista Resort? We have a timeshare there. If we go up sometime for a weekend,it would be great to get together.
