Debbie and Julie - I just looked up the leave allowance and it is correct at 2.5 days per month. I need to put my brain in gear before I put my fingers in action next time I try to answer a question. lol lol lol

Debbie, I think you are correct. I stand to be corrected by Will and/or Hoppi....They will cut me off from here pretty quick if I keep giving wrong answers. lol lol That would make 9 days correct for Julie's son. Julie, I'm sorry I gave you the wrong info on the leave days......

Hi Julie, I sure could be mistaken on his accumulated leave days. I was going by the fact that you said he had been in since March. Was that when he started bootcamp? As far as I know, they get 1-1/2 days/month of service. But, I sure could be wrong. Let me know what you find out from Justin.

I just read where our MCPON (Rick West) had a big day today....This wasn't the day you were waiting for was it Will and Hoppi? Just curious!! Lots of good news on Navy.mil today.

Julie - he should have about 6 days on the books this month if he hasn't used any which I doubt he has. They sure do get homesick, don't they? I know my grandson hopes to get his orders to somewhere close or in So.California. Is your son on hold for A school right now? Has he completed ATT?

Debbie - so glad your weather cooled down...lol lol 102 isn't cool either really! I'm staying inside today and sure wish we would get some thunderstorms and cool it down over here.

Hi everyone....I'm late getting on today....

Melanie - Oh, DJ will love San Diego and you can come to visit and I can drive down to meet you. Wouldn't that be fun? Congrats on him getting his orders.
We'll still chat by phone soon.

I won't even mention the 103/104 temp here after seeing Debbie's post. That's way too hot for anyone or anything....

Karen C - don't know wnything about the "Up" movie. I'm not really a movie buff.
II got your PM and will be answering it soon.

Gary T - I hope you are able to work something out for this weekend pick up of Nick. I'm sure if it can be done, you will find a way....Have a safe trip in and out of the city.
Hi Dori, Brenda, Reva .....everyone have a great day!

Yikes, Debbie, you can keep your 116 temperatures! Our temps in the lower 70s suit me fine and the chilly nights I like but the tomato plants don't. I do miss the sun cheering everything up. I don't think I have ever seen such an overcast summer in Maine.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Good evening everyone!

Will, your pics are great! Thanks for sharing your lovely family with all of us. It will be no time at all before Simon is looking happy and healthy like your other cats. Poor little thing....breaks my heart!

Jackie - I am sure Hoppi and/or Will can answer your question about the flowers when they sign on.

Julie - I doubt if the exact schedule for Labor Day weekend has been posted yet, but if it has Will or Hoppi will let you know. Since you live over 300 miles from the base, he will not be able to take liberty to come home; he would have to submit a chit for leave and would have to have those days accumulated to be able to take them. What rate is your son in for? What stage is your son in in his Navy career? The answers to these questions will assist in answering your question about leave/liberty. I wish I could have been more help, but I'll defer it to the BIG DOGS.....

Everyone have a great evening; catch you all tomorrow.

Hope you are enjoyng the new Harry Potter movie, Will. Victoria was always my movie date because my husband isn't much on going to the movie theater. For the last HP movie, our neighbors, who always go on day 1, went a second time so I would have companions.

Liked your pictures. You and your family look pretty sharp. Simon doesn't look too happy yet. If the other cats are typical of your pets, he will soon be a happy camper.
