DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Howdy Brenda, I'm doing fine. Getting things in line for vacation, we're driving down to San Diego for a week, just to goof off. We'll see our sailor buddy if he gets any time of and if he isn't sick.

My son Dustin had his wisdom teeth removed yesterday so he is SIQ for 2 days. He is doing good. I was so touched when he told me that one of his bunkmates from BC is in his same building brought him some soup, sliced peaches & powerade because he heard he had his teeth removed. Now thats a friend!!

Sarosa, the Navy doesn't "help" with personal purchases, but the Navy Exchange does carry a good selection of electronics at great prices. No sales tax, either.

Dawn - Congrats to your Matt for starting SCC classes. He will get to know Will. It appears the wait time for classing up is getting shorter and shorter.
Everyone, have a great evening!

Hoppi, have a fun and safe trip. I adore San Francisco! Do you have a favorite place to go there?

We're headed to San Diego on Monday, going to see our sailor buddy on the Dubuque (the infamous swine flu ship) and do the zoo and other touristy things.

Karen C - congrats on your son starting ATT....He's on his way!
Theresa - Hey there....I'm glad to hear Nick got some medical advice for his allergies. He will be fine; they will take good care of him...I know you would rather do it, tho. Keep me posted.
Hoppi - sure wish I wasn't so far away; I'd love to see your PIR. We will sure miss you for the two weeks you are on leave, but you so deserve it!!!!

One thing I know about military mail... don't overnight anything on a Thursday or Friday, it may still go through the mail room, which would be shut for the weekend. Express USPS mail will get it there just as quickly.

Letha - I think Will is out of state for a wedding and Hoppi is at the helm for now. I'm not sure when Will is due back. Moms with sailors moving to the school side, it will get much easier for you once they get their cell phones and computers.
