I agree with you on being pricey, I had mentioned it to my son, also I was told by him that a lot of the Sailors haven't even put in their chit because of their schedules, and he was one, he began to fill it out but states he needs help with some of the information that needs to be put down, so make sure your son is on top of it, I don't know how it goes for the New ones after Graduation Sorry!

They have a place on base MVR or MWR where they can purchase discounted tickets on airfare, and just about anything really.

Hi patriotmama67 first of all yes that is what I was told about the time off for Christmas but cannot be able to leave until 9am then they will have to wait for there Instructions, Paperwork, taxi to the airport. so I'm just waiting for my son to advise me as to when he is able to leave. I was told that morning flights will not do. My son was able to take his tablet back, we went shopping for new tennis, night shirts, pj pants, underwear, cell phone, blanket, now I was also told it depends on there barracks. So your son will get the rundown before he leaves on Liberty what he can have or not have.

Hi, me again! Since his A school is across the street from PIR, after he gets processed, are we allowed to buy him "stuff" to bring back to the barracks? He's a Cali boy, so winter clothes, food etc...and when would I be able to give him his phone after PIR?

Hello everyone! Read on another page I follow that GL A school is off for Christmas 12/22-1/7? How can we confirm this? Would like to start shopping for airfare, since we're in California and that time of year is very pricey.
