So Anti M do you feel it is a Great thing to do for Ones Loved One. I'm sure there are many a families who are far from their Loved Ones  Station area and to be able to give with out being in return but to just do it what and how do you feel about that. I was very honored for this Navy Mom to have wanted to do this for My son, to wanted to have met him and give a little something that was just so thoughtful of her, and I in return will or would like to do the same for another and for her Son as well. Just not to sure how others feel about it. I felt why not let our Sons Meet they are as one in the Navy same base what can it hurt right?

People without military experience often don't get the "Navy family" concept, that you always have family of some sort if you want, even when they ar not your blood or birth families.  This bond extends past the sailors to their families.  I am very  close with some Navy moms on FB, have been for years and years.  When vets separate or retire, the lack of those same bonds of common experience can be devastating.

Good Morning All, hoping this Wednesday finds you all well, Hi Alison, I am still amazed as to how quick this went for your Son, Very exciting that he will be on his next Journey soon. My Son is doing very well, although over the weekend he finally took  a dip into the ocean and glasses got washed away, LOL! he is ok he went and got another set. Just working and Duty keeps him busy.... Although I do have to say a Navy Mom that I chat with here on site has a Son on same base as mine. She met up with my Son Sunday Morning wanted to meet him and have both her and My Son meet each other so I set it up with my Bud and he was all for it. She took my son some Pastries and gave my Bud a big Hug and told him it was from me to him. It was truly a Blessing that she wanted to do this. I plan on returning the blessing also. So In Dec. I am planning on going to the base, so BandMom if you read this I would love to take your Son some treats along with Maristar2 Son. Please reach out it would be my Pleasure to be able to  give some cheer to another's Loved One. Alison Best wishes to your Son! The places he will see and go!

Hi All my son has two days until graduation from ASchool he is a quarter Master, however still waiting on when he can come home for 2 weeks waiting on a signature after getting medical clearance to go to Japan ..? After he gets to come home then to San Diego fist... some times you never know what’s gonna happen in the Navy but it definitely is a learning experience..

Anything over 20 weeks is usually ok as a PCS move, but her orders will say if a dependent move is authorized or not.  Sounds like a homeport change, so my best guess is guess, you can move.  But what a hassle, huh?

My sailor checked online and she got her orders. Expected graduation date for A school is Sept 14th. And then She needs to report in October to USS JOHN C. Stennis in Washington and then in may 2019 back to Virginia. But that's pending confirmation. My question know is: will they move us with her to Washington or we'll have to wait until she gets stationed to Virginia. Since it's just 7 months.
