Allison,
My son had something like your son is going thru! He was desperate and he talked to his chaplain and they can do something about it
He needs to speak up
I talked to my neighbor who is a navy veteran
And he told me that unfortunately like any job sometimes you need to deal with that kind of people
Just tell him to hang in there and let his voice be heard
They are the only ones that can do something about it
I know how you feel and I’m glad that I had a similar experience

Hello All, I'm feeling so bad for my son his roommates are not doing what they are supposed to be doing, they keep falling the room inspection, because some of them don't care? They are also staying up very late face timing & are very loud. He did try to talk to someone but nothing happened, not sure what to tell him, I'm a little worried he is getting depressed. This waiting for his class to start is very hard also... Any thoughts?

Thank everyone for the info on A school graduation :)  We will likely wait to see what our son prefers, but as a mom I'm hoping he would like us to attend...regardless of the lack of fanfare :)

TahoeZephyr, my son told me the same thing.  Not to go.  He said they never even mentioned his name.  Just handed him a certificate and shook his hand.  Glad we didn't waste the time going over.  Congrats to him!!!!!!

TahoeZephyr, The Graduation Ceremony for A-School is not that much.  It is basically a handing out of Certificates.  My sailor told me not to bather coming.  He wasn't even sure what time it was going to be.  However, if your son is going to  be promoted to Petty Officer, that you want to be at.

My sailor left a month ago for C school in Dam Neck, VA  I would like to visit in a couple of weeks and am wondering where to stay.  If someone has their sailor there too and is still here, appreciate any direction.  Thank you in advance!

Hi TahoeZephyr,

it sounds like your son is ahead of mine on the same course.  He had PIR 4/13 and he is awaiting ATT.  Congratulations to your son!!

Hello Everyone - my son just passed his ATT comps today and will class up for GM A School tomorrow :)  If all goes smoothly, his graduation date will be August 3rd.  Does anyone have information regarding what to expect for the A School graduation ceremonies at GL?
