Hi Angie sorry I meant the Living Flag from last year it was beautiful I always wanted to do that when it was my High School Graduation 1977 to do with all the graduates 310 of us just the number 77 for our yearbook cover (im a Graphic artist) and it was turned down by the staff and went with an ugly cover instead LOL. I just Skype with my Sailor since he wanted to chat before my surgery on Tuesday and he told me he  will be busy with the Living 100 I told him I will be thinking of him Flag Day has always been a special day we use to march in scouts in parades. Enjoy the Flag Day Festivities

Tiff's mom Sharon:  we drove to Great Lakes for Boot Camp Graduation from the Gulf Coast!  It was Interstate all the way but my husband purchased a hand held "GPS"  from Best Buy and it was not too expensive but well worth the $$$... He set it on the dash, we could feed in our info. where we were going and it told us every turn!  It was awesome!  I would recommend getting one if you can.....but a good map will always work!  But if you are driving yourself it's hard to read a map!  The GPS is hands free and if you do make a wrong turn or miss your exit, it will recalculate and get you back on the right road!  Praying you have a safe trip!  We will not be able to travel to our son's A School Graduation, he will be flying home that afternoon so I will see him then!

They used to have a nice enlisted club on base which had a pretty decent restaurant. Has that gone away in favor of fast food?

Thanks Angie... I removed the post about clothes LOL Didn't want them to think we were "hicks" hahaha  I have new white capris and a "cliche" blue and white striped blouse! haha  I will tell her again that she needs to request the chit and tell the instructors.... I did ask her if we happen to get there early enough on Thurs, would we be able to see her, she said only on base, she is not allowed to leave (I guess) during the week?  So if so, I guess it's McDonalds for her dinner that night! LOL

TiffsMom, I am sure you will be ok driving. I would definitely invest in a good map so that if you get lost you won't panic.

I am sure Tiff will tell her instructors you will be there. She might not think it is necessary because others have already mentioned that their family would be attending. LoL  You know kids

Thanks! :)  I'm nervous (never driven by myself with just my kids) and sooo excited! :)  I just hope she told her instructors we are coming (I told her too but she said they didn't ask... UGH it's like pulling teeth with that kid!!)  So I hope we can still get in :(  If not, she's grounded!  I'm still the momma! LOL  I have a wife I met on here that is stationed there and she will show me where to park... then hopefully her ship will give her early liberty and her staff (She's section leader of her ship) will let her have a duty free weekend and she can stay with us in the hotel... :) :) :)

In 4 days we are leaving to drive to Chicago!  Tiff will graduate A school FC one week from today!  I am so excited to see her!  It's going to be a long road trip but what's at the end is my baby girl! :)
