One of the problems a duty driver has is everyone wants them there right now... and they can't say no to requests for runs. Duty driver really, really sucks for the sailor pulling that down as their watch/duty. Yep, schedule early and have a backup plan.

For the new wives, do not overlook the help and courses and life classes offered by the Family Service Center on base. There are a wide variety, and even though you may know how to do a lot of stuff already, sometimes they offer insights and assistance you'd not yet considered or discovered.

I've heard of individual sailors on hold, but rarely entire classes. I could guess at reasons... the computers are down, there's a critical instructor who isn't available, something wrong with the building, the pipeline is backing up and they want to slow the pace down... or it's the Navy, they're practicing Hurry Up and Wait yet again.

Hi all;
Thank for you all your prayers for my son, he goes to the doctor, so he'll know more then. The other night, he said he could be on hold for up to two weeks.

Cindy22--
Don't leave us, we need your wonderful insight and help.

To all the new moms;
ask your questions, some one will get you the information you need.

Thanks Connie. I was on vacation in Hawaii (Big Island). I managed to check in the Japan group a couple times, but I had so much else to do I didn't do more than skim here ... you know, go to the beach and such.

Sigh, if I hit the lottery, I'm moving to a coffee plantation on Kona. Of course, Utah has no lottery, so that's going ot be a tough one.

I see the new activity on many groups without posts or updates, could it be when a new member joins?

On my computer yesterday, it kept saying this group had activity 1 hour ago, then 45 mins ago, etc. It kept saying there was activity, but when I accessed it, there were no updates. I had this on some of my other groups also. I think the site had problems yesterday.
