Evening all-  Can I join?? I see several names I have chatted with on other pages.  My Sailor is in GulfPort for A school to become a BU.  I live in Highlands Ranch. My sailor went to RCHS and I have a student at TRHS.  I am a CO native who vacationed in San Diego for 16 years courtesy of the US Navy (Hubby was in).  I look forward to getting to know you all.

Will your youngest be going into the Navy too? Well at least you have your first to show you the ropes! I bet your son knows of my son.

Hi Pam and Kenuckone, I am also in Highlands Ranch and my son went to Thunder Ridge as well. He's been in for a little over a year now and is stationed in Norfolk, VA on the USA New York. My youngest is currently going to Thunder Ridge and will be going to boot camp in July.

Hi Pam,
No I don't live on High Cliffe, but I understand
there is another Karen with my last name in HR. How exciting for you that your son is in Ca. I wonder if he knew Korbin, or visa versa. What is his job?

Kanuckone- I am in Highlands Ranch too and my son also went to ThunderRidge. You don't happen to live on High Cliff, do you? If so, my husband is your mailman and has been delivering your mail and I am your neighbor. My son graduated from BC in July, went to Pensacola for A school, and I just left him in Lemoore, CA yesterday. I helped him drive his car there. He is an AO.

I'm also glad he's okay and that this lesson just cost him a lot of time and not his life. It's good you didn't have to worry about what second son was up to - a small blessing knowing he's safe, even though you miss him. First Responders saved my life in April so I offer my thanks and appreciation to you all for your sacrifices. You have important jobs and really make a difference in the lives of others.

Wow you had quite the night didn't you. Pray for good weather.

So glad your son is okay!  I can't imagine the fear and stress you were dealing with...on top of doing your job and taking care of others!
