THANKS A BUNCH JAN! We have seen them twice and love them. The fact that they especially Gene are so into our Military is so rewarding for us as well. Gene has many time been filmed opening his heart out to different soldiers while in conversation with them, he it totally committed to them. Funny but my hubby said to me after our last concert with them, that next concert he may look into the cost of going backstage to meet them. I then told him if he did I would have Gene sign one butt cheek and Paul the other then have them tatooed over. lol So now if we win these tickets and backstage passes guess who has to make the bet right? lol

Jan I like Elton too, I saw Tom Petty with a backstage meeting back in 1980. He is such a little guy. My bucket list contains meeting CHER. I love her!

Anyway I hope all is well with everyone and our kids. Can't wait to hear from Barb and Mama Bear with pics on fb.

Till later Ladies!

Janie---WOW!! i will definitely vote everyday. I hope you win. I watched an episode of Gene Simmons Family jewels (hes so funny), and it was one where he goes overseas to perform for the troops. He sang a medley of all the Forces fight songs..(Anchors Away for the Navy...of course) But I LOVED IT!!! and this was way before max even thought about joining the Navy. That sounds like it would be a blast. The last concert i was at was in Atlantic City (actually..i think it was Ceasars) Mike surprised me with tickets to see Elton John (second favorite of mine right after Tom Petty..as Josefina and Kim will tell you..lol).. We were dropped off by a limo in the back of the building for VIP entrance, but NO backstage passes...boohoo. They asked me to quit dancing in front of the stage so many times, that security came to escort me out!!.. i said."oh well, hes on his last song anyway"...haha!...i have pics of it, i will post them if i can.

Yeah!! LONG LIVE ROCK-n-ROLL!!!   You hippie you..lol!

Charlene you need to visit with us more often and use our strong shoulders. We have been through so much together and will continue to do so in the future but theres comfort in knowing that my NAVY SISTERS are here for me as well as I am for them. IF you need to vent, we'll be here to try to help.

THANK YOU GIRLS for your concern, I'll be ok. Slept upright on the couch last night to get more sleep and it worked. Going to see Doc this morning. Ah I'll be ok, there are other people worse off than I so this is no big deal. And YES Jan the air in the casinos is terrible! I am a non-smoker so I HATE it even more.

Jan I think your approaching the youngens properly. Let them know that they have a job to do and what is expected from them and there is no time for their drama in order to work as a team to accomplish the tasks at hand. You got it girl, sounds like your doing great!

Kim I too wish we all lived closer but at least we have our group site here and fb.

Speaking of facebook I need your votes on a contest to see KISS and win backstage passes! Go to my profile and click on the Poconos link and vote EVERDAY for me! PLEASE!!!! My hubby and I would love to go backstage and meet them, we love them and have a great respect for the band. In case you didn't know they do a lot of concerts for our MILITARY! They are BIG supporters of our Armed services and soldiers. Gene Simmons is the biggest fan of our soldiers, he donates a lot of money and his time for them. They do concerts for the soldiers too. Not what you would expect by looking at them I guess eh?

Gotta go girls, need to get into the shower. Barb is gushing with happiness right now. we'll hear all about it after Brans leave.

Love to you all !

Charlene~~you sound a little down girl...it's okay, we all have been there and then guess what?  You can only go up from there!

Janet~~I am like your older sister, I always say those things to my kids and friends because it's true.  I usually say "everything happens for a reason and we just do not know what that reason is...but you will in the future".

Looking forward to hearing how Janie makes out with her doctor today...hope they can make her better real quick!

You know...every day I read these posts from my Navy sisters and think...I wish we all lived closer so we can get together on a regular basis.  You well, I can dream can't I?

Cahrlene---Hang in there. Things have a way of working themselves out. when my sisters and i went to AZ to be with my mom...my one sister (1 year older than me) would ALWAYS say.."dont worry about it..it will be allright".or.."oohh,,its going to be okay."  Arrgghh...it would make me SO MAD!!! She said this for EVERYTHING!! If we made  a wrong turn, if we didnt have money to pay, if we lost our keys, if we didnt know where to turn for help with our circumstances, etc.....BUT...she was RIGHT!! IT ALWAYS WORKED ITSELF OUT!!

So maybe if you let everything take its course..it will be allright. I know you are upset..but remember...things could be a lot worse. at least your boys are healthy, and as long as they are happy...what more could you ask for.

Hey ladies ...hope you all had a good day..:)

Kelly-- took you advice and asked Max about where the heck his money is going, and he said they go out to eat every night..uhhggg, thats not good becasue i KNOW how that boy can eat. Im sure hes ordering steak and seafood everytime. he needs to get it together if he plans on moving in with his chick.

Thats AWESOME you lost 5 1/2 lbs...not that you NEED too..Emma Peel...lol

Barb---OMG...thats awesome you are with your son right now!!! Make good use of the time, he will probably spread himself thin, but sneak a meal or two in with him. I take it hes going to run in the mornings? max said the same thing..haha! But the pic i posted on FB of his filthy room, was taken at 12:00 in the afternoon, and he was sound asleep in his bed!..i was disappointed, but i will never yell at him again..EVER!!! lol

Janie---i hope you feel better...i wouldnt wait too much longer before going to get it checked out. You are always so upbeat, and to think of you not feeling well, just doesnt seem right...lol.. take care of yourself. That damn casino air is no good for you. i should know, ive been inside every casino from Canada to the Bahamas, and it sometimes, i would just go stand outside just to get some fresh air.

Kim-- i dont know which one is worse, mammogram or pap smear. uhhggg, just thinking about them makes me depressed...lol Good for you for taking care of yourself.

Angela--Make sure you get a pic of Colby in his new car. It seems like evry relative i have that has been in the Navy...has a pic of them in their dress blues standing besidde their car. Actually, that what my dad sent to Max while he was in BC..a photo of him in his uniform, standing beside some old car. he wrote Max a letter with it, telling him 'see what you can get when you join the Navy'...lol

Thanks for all your support and job advice ladies. Im getting the ladies together tomorrow to get some things straightend out and on the table so i can deal with them...im sick of the drama.

I just remembered...i have pics of maxs tattoos. i will post them..:)

Hi Ladies, just catching up on some post, glad you are all doing well, have lots on my plate lately, and coming on here seems to be the only place you are understood, others just don't realize the emotions that we are experiencing with our sons/daughters not home, so different then college etc. less limitations then boot camp, but still limits with our relationships with our kids, expenses to see, or hear from them.  for some are very costly,  Just trying to make the best of all that is transpiring in my son's life, as well as being the Mom I still need to be to my son at home,  But have had some heart felt conversations, and I believe my son and I at home are on the same page, he misses his bro as much as I do, we are know as the three musketeers, have been for so long, it is other happenings going on since my navy son has joined and it is taking a toll on us.  To much to fast, I don't know but am not dealing well with this all, trying to take one day at a time, some days much better then others,   but I came on here tonight to wish you all well, and Love  hearing how all is going on with your loved ones.

Well Ladies~~I just got home from my mammogram after work....what fun.  I go every year faithfully, but I do not like it.  I always wonder why they insist on trying to flatten my 44DDD's in pancakes!  It's just not right..oh well...enough complaining..until my annual pap smear that is...LOL

Janie~~I cannot wait for you to get to the doctor tomorrow morning and get better.  You have been sick too long.

Barb~~So happy for you to be spending time with your Sailor!

Angie~~Milk is $8. in Hawaii?  I guess they have no cows there.

Kelly~~I am so happy for your weight loss...I like Janie's idea of promoting you from boot camp.  lol

Janet~~Unless you think those young ones are worth trying to save...save yourself a lot of grieve and get them to move-along.  Sounds like you are doing good.

Angie that is too funny! However there is no way, I'm like all the rest of the dogs in the shelter-spayer or neutered. However if I was I would be widowed when he got the news. lol

No I think I have a sinus infection. I have been working a lot of crazy hours and getting my house in shape for summer and painting the outside of it so I guess I must have gotton myself run down and working in a casino with thousands of people going through there I must have picked up a bug. Got  a doctors appt. tomorrow morning, WooHoo bring on the meds and get rid of it! Yowza!

No news from Barb so we know she's in seventh sailor heaven. Just so happy to have her big boy home and all her boys together. Gee I keep living all this excitement through ya'll, its been great! Funny...I'll be the last to get mine.

My daughters leave will work out perfectly. Her & I have made plans to go to some of her friends high school graduation the second day she is home and she said she wants to wear her dress whites! That with the fact that we are not letting anyone know when she is coming home will prove to be such a surprise for all. Can't wait.

Kelly when you get done that boot camp we are going to send you a hat to congratulate you and move you up from recruit! lol

Well until later when I check in and see who was here, HAVE A GREAT DAY! See you on facebook.

~~Kelly, way to go!! If you lose 5 1/2 per week, think of how much you will have lost at the end of this...~~~YAH!!!!! adm60~~~~ I say go for it!!!! That would be GREAT....to be there when the ship comes in and surprise him....how long have they been out? WOW, what a trip it's been huh? This trip will live on thru him and his stories for generations..

well, maybe today will be the day C wraps up his car deal, thought it might be yesterday, but this around the world banking, is going no where fast...our banker here faxed papers for him to get and sign on his lunch break well, his lunch break she is closing up going home for the day....hehe...he calls us when he gets off work and it's midnight for us...CRAZY!!!
