OOOH Barb....you are on pins & needles I can tell. DON'T drink any caffeine! lol I know what you mean about getting info. But a while ago when I got the Keel, Jess and I were going through the Sailors and their MOMS from our group here. She said she knew Bran and that he is so nice but VERY quiet. lol....So reading this I had to laugh.
Wow Barb & Kim both of your sons will be at the same place, maybe they can get together, and maybe you both could too when you make a visit.
Mama Bear I can't think of a better mothers day present or a better way to celebrate it than the day you are going to get! Bless YOU Mama!
Very strange not to see our "QUEEN MUM" on here at all this week. (thought she deserved the royal title since she brought us all together on this group.) I hope Jan is enjoying her new job.Tell Her we MISS her Kim!
I'm out, got to go to work myself. LATER LADIES!
Mama Bear...not crazy at all! All of us do it...just don't tell the kids because they will not understand until they become parents themselves. Happy for you to see him Sunday!
Barb...my son is in A school at Virginia Beach and will be doing his C school there as well!
I might just have to call Janet.
Have a great day tomorrow ladies!
Good Morning Ladies!!!!! It is so good to hear that everyone is doing well. I do miss Jan but I am wishing her the best at her new job....soon she will be running the whole show there at the hotel.
Nathan flew into Sacramento...but his friends picked him up :( and today a friend of his from Sonora asked him to go to her prom tonight...So, we won't be seeing him until tomorrow. I am not happy that hid friends get to see him first but I and glad that we will at least get to see him on Sunday.
I envited the entire family over and I am making his favorite foods! Is it crazy that I am looking forward to watching him eat and sleep????
I hope every single one of you has a WONDERFUL Mothers Day!!!
God Bless you all.
Janie - I know. I just can't contain myself!!! jejeje I can't wait to have them all together!! Bran will be going to Norfolk after his leave. When he finally gets to Norfolk there he'll be getting lots of on the job training for the next year. Kinda sucks for him. He's ready to start traveling. But in the meantime he will be getting lots of on the job training on the ship. I have told Bran about all his other mom's here on N4M. He has talked to some of his buddies in P'cola whose moms are on here also. But pulling names out of him is like pulling teeth!!! lol Definitely giving him all your best/love!
Barb, now calm down Mommy, he will sort it all out and get back to you with the final itinerary so you will know when to pick him up. I am so happy for you! I too did not know you had to be picked for C School. Jessica got picked too and she starts soon. I then looked into it further and read where it really helps them in their profession and they can move up faster the more training they receive. So where is Brandyn going after he comes home?
Don't forget pictures and let him know about his Navy Moms all over this great country of ours, and give him our best/love. You will have all the boys together again, time for a family portrait! Keep us informed!
JAN, CALLING JAN! gee I don't know if I like Jan working so much....we miss our "head mom" lol
Hi everyone!! I spoke with Brandyn yesterday and he said he will be given his ticket for travel on Monday, the last day of his class. Then he will need to see his mentor for help re-routing it home. He's so sketchy about it! He was supposed to call me tonight and let me know what was happening and I've not heard anything!! As of yesterday he didn't have his hard copy orders yet, but he knows he's going to Oceana, maybe that's something they give him on his last day also?? His roommate left the other day so he has the room to himself. Good news though, his roomy will also be in Norfolk.
Janie - not yet. Maybe on Monday I will be with my sailor. I'm not sure. Shouldn't he know what the plans are by now? For goodness sakes according to him his last day of C school class is Monday! I didn't know you had to get picked for C school. This not knowing anything is driving me nuts!!!! I'm sorry Janie, I did not know you have been sick. I hope your feeling much better.
Well our little working girl Janet is so busy these days, go sister make that money! Mama Bear is at the moment ready to spend some glorious days with her Sailor, I am so happy for her. Angies hubby is doing well, great news again. Barb I believe is also with her Sailor, so she is in her heaven with ALL her boys. At the moment it seems as if our little group is doing well. May God continue to watch over all of us and keep our Sailors safe, healthy and free from harm.
LOVE TO ALL MY NAVY SISTERS! :}
~~~~GOOD MORNING LADIES~~~~
I hope everyone's good...I'm thinking Janet's fell off earth....HELLO??? I have your cell # and if I don't hear soon, I'm calling you!!!
Hubby had a good Dr's visit yesterday, don't go back for 6 mths...YAH!!! He can get some REAL reading glasses now...or contacts...he's excited
Went out to Tybee Island & had Dinner with special friends from CA...her little boy is precious...she ask him something when we were eating and keep in mind, he's on CA time so he had not had much sleep, his reply was "I come to eat not talk" spoken like a true man!!!! Cracked us up, but, he came around and actually hugged us bye at the condo...we carried him John Deere hats which he really liked...BRIBE THEM...works everytime....
ok, have to go quickly....ttyl
THANK YOU for all the wishes for my health, still achey but I'll get better. Can't complain because I will get better unlike some people that are not as fortunate. I really don't like to complain when I am sick nor do I like not being able to take care of the house and the family. I guess thats just the wife and mother in me. I'm used to being independent and in control.
Yes its going to go so slow, especially for her. Her last bc friend is leaving today from Lakes to go to Japan. She is now by herself and she will start school soon. So for her it will be forever, I told her to just put her head into her studies and that it will go faster. We are still so proud that she got picked for C School, this was very much a surprise to all of us. Now I just have to keep it a secret and NOT say anything on facebook! This is going to be very hard to be aware to not let it slip.
adm I hope and pray things come together soon and the pain and suffering for your friend resolves itself. As for your sailor, whatever the relationship its still your sailor, its obvious you share a special bond of some sort.
Kim, Cody did graduate Strand right? I hope to see soon about your son and your time together.
Love and Prayers to all of you!
