Janie--its funny you mention casino...i am just discussing that on the Aschool group. Bree is moving to CT to be with Max next month, and she is going to be looking for work as soon as she gets there. I know there are two casinos near the Sub Base, and she was thinking that may be a good place to look for a job. Im sure they employ a lot of people...so shes hoping..
I start my job at 8:30 Monday morning, i will be training for a week. I will be supervisor of housekeeping. Something i know NOTHING about. I will be scheduling the housekeepers weekly work schedules...PLUS their shift/room schedules, training new employees, inspecting the rooms, keeping schedules of who/when guest are staying, checking out, etc...!!!!! i dont know, ive never done anything like this...its a nice hotel, that sits on a big hill...lol They are paying me salary...so i hope i catch on quick..im sure i will. I just hope it doesnt suck...lol!
WOW! KIM! When you said you are a planner of events, you sure weren't kidding my friend! You are good! And may I thank you ahead of time. And yes you are right, this is the only group I feel comfortable with, I don't even go on my others. Neat picture, cool uniform.
So Jan when do you start your new job and what are you going to be doing? You are very lucky to land a job in this day and age. Good luck, you'll be GREAT! They were damn smart in hiring you! Max's room is not that bad, my daughters has been worse on occassion. I can't wait until after her leave to come home only for one reason, so I can take down all her scarey posters and crap and paint and fix the room up for guests.
Kim let me know how you made out with your luncheon today, sorry I can't be there. Very hard to get time off in the casino world.
Angie your trip you made to MS. Sounds like it was very rewarding. Thank you for making a difference in others lives. Glad you were ok on the recent storms.
I'll be back later to check in, have a great day LADIES! :)
kim---neat profile pic!!..im not sure about sherry or terry...but i can tell you that charlene lives in Massachusettes (sp?).
I hope everyone has a great day. Its 50 degrees right now, but looks like its going to be beautiful later. I am going shopping with Bree today. I need some NEW clothes for my NEW job..lol. And she wants to pick up a few things for her new apartment. They havent even picked an apartment out yet, but she's shopping for it. She is going to CT on the 12th to see Max, and they are going to find one.
Uhhggg! Maxs room....i had that room set up like a guest bedroom, it was so clean and orderly, i cant believe he did that. It looks a little better now, its cleaned, but now its filled with boxs. Everytime Bree buys something for the move...she brings it here and sticks it in that room. I dont mind...keeps me feeling like there something 'going on'...lol!
Good Morning girls!
It's early Saturday morning and I have to be at work by 7am. Then I am very excited because after work I am meeting the Philadelphia Navy Moms for lunch! Never met any of them before so it should interesting.
I still can't help feeling like our group PIR 2-4-11 is the one I feel the most comfortable with. I guess because we all went through BC together. Kinda like your college friends...never forget them.
I don't know how many of you saw my post on here about having a reunion next year for the PIR 2-4-11 but I am making a list of names and places people live so I can get an idea of where to plan it for. Sherry was kind enough to offer her home for the event but we thought it would be too long of a trip for us on the east coast. I am going to list the names I have so far...PLEASE let me know if I have missed anyone...I apologize a head of time if I did. Here is the list:
Janie~~NJ
Sherry~~CA
Janet~~PA (me too)
Rickie~~VA
Barbara~~MD
Angela~~GA
Robyn~~TX
Regina~~CA
Shelly~~DE
Brigette~~Mich
Kim~~Minn (not me)
Kelly~~Mass
Donna~~AL
Josefina~~CA
Roanna~~FL
adm60~~Maine (I am sorry that I do not know yoru real name)
And I need to know where Charity, terry268 and Charlene live.
So there you have it. We are all over this great country of ours. Again, please except my apology ahead of time if I forgot to put you on the list...I don't want to forget anybody.
Have a great day ladies!!
Hey Ladies, it was a beautiful day here in Ga. Thank-GOD after all of the tragedy's yesterday...I think between the 3 states, the death toll is around 318...My daddy called earlier and ask if I had been called yet..I am a member of Ga. Baptist Disaster Relief Team...I had the priviledge of going to help the people in Diamondhead, MS. after Katrina hit, something I will NEVER forget...I WAS SO BLESSED BY THAT TRIP..worked on the houses of some very special people. I thought we were there to help them instead, we got the blessings...what those people went thru was UNREAL...
adm~~ I've said it before I CAN"T WAIT til WE HAVE GB's!!!!!
~~We had the Southeast Cancer Unit Walk tonight, I walked in honor of my Mom..this unit serves only 3 counties and they have NO paid employees, everything we raise goes straight to the cancer pts., they can receive up to $1300.00 a yr., plus, volunteers to help with transportation, etc...it's a GREAT cause...

Hi all--just spent 8 hours with my granddaughters! At the shore it was a beautiful day. Kept my mind a bit off of my friend. The eaglets mother was killed by an airplane---They will hopefully be alright...just tragic. There is another eagle cam but I am not checking on those three eaglets. I need to get a bit stronger first.
Stay well and strong friends.
adm60--i was thinking about the eaglets also...what happened to the mother??
I am going up to my sons college today to pick him up..so i will now have another child (?) around the house to take care of...yayyy! He will be home for a few days, then goes back for finals. Then on the 7th..he will be home for the summer. Hes going to work all summer and save to go see his his GF in Japan at the end of August. I was concerned about the radiation also..but he said its WAY north of Osaka, where she lives. I will worry sick about him traveling, but i guess theyre growing up..:(
