OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

We make/mail pillowcases for deployed military: Navy, Army, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard & Nat Guard. As of 9-1418, we have made/given out 82,816 since 6- 08! YTD 2018 is 5,217 We have note cards & labels, please send me a message for them.

I will play with them some more. While I do like color, it's cheaper to print in black.

Lyn, I know that's disappointing for you! Does this put a hold on the pillowcases for now?

Dori, I love the label. And Carolyn, before I saw Dori's label, I like what your daughter came up with. So ladies, I will let you "play" casue that's not something I am good at.
They would be mailing labels. At this point, just draw a heart on your pillowcase.

LYN! I am so sorry about your son's change in orders. I can't imagine how hard that must be for a mom. So the sub thread for more thoughts.

Comment by LLovesmysailor on September 8, 2009 at 1:03pm: I'm having one very tough day. I just found out that my son's sub had its last port call cancelled. So that means no phone call for the near future. Also, their return date has been cancelled and could be put off by at least a month. Instead of seeing him in a few weeks it will be a couple of months.

When we mail to Molly's adoptees, then we would use both labels. But if is to a group that we do on our own, then just HAE.
I do not have a website at this point in my life. I just don't have the time to make one nor monitor.

We can still put a Molly label on the boxes that we are mailing to her adopted groups, but if we do a mailing from a group that comes direct to HAE, we will only use that label.
Make sense? For the sub pillowcases, we would only put a HAE label since MAS isn't adopting them.
