Any word yet?
I am back from a long weekend - had to go south for funeral. My Aunt passed away
Bone tired now - still doing laundry.
Happy Fat Tuesday.
Hi Nicks Mom no problem. He will likely be able to be picked up on Saturday morning around 8 am. Most parents just go over to the base and wait in the parking lot next to the building (can't remember the name) but they can buy things in there and they have a few restaurants. You will be able to do the same on Sunday. Make sure you print off the parking pass for graduation. He will likely just want to hand at the hotel and relax. I brought my son some sweats, boxers, and tshirt for hotel room. He got in the hottub at the hotel and mainly just wanted McDonalds and talk on his phone and facebook etc. It is hard when you have to leave I know I had a lot of tears.
GLad you all are talking :)
Hi :)
My son is busy with his ship, but enjoying 60 degre weather in Japan.
Things here are a bit hecktic- hubby's car broke down and still in the shop - have not a clue what is wrong. And had call from Southern IL - aunt is in faling health - not expected to live much longer.
Wish all to be well and happy. hugs
Hi Nicks Mom,
I think they all get the same and it is right after graduation until either 8 or 9 depending on their ship. My son had to be back by 8 but the real check in was 9 his ship wanted him back by 8 so they had everyone checked in by 9. He had liberty for the whole weekend starting right after graduation through Sunday evening. He was then in a few day hold pattern. He moved to temp housing on the other side of the base where all of the A schools are. He has since moved again and will be there until he leave on March 30th. He is taking basic classes I think they all take before their A school starts. My son said it is math etc. and is computer based and they work at their own pace and test at their own pace. He can take his test for him to get the 2nd liberty but has not done so yet but maybe this week as he has to study for that testing as well. I hope that helps but please let me know if you have any questions. I would be more that happy to talk to you via phone
